Never a Norwood 1

I've always had the hairline I have now, some folks here have said that it's a NW2 but I don't know. Anyway, I'm gonna start a new thread on something I've been interested in...

When I was like ~20 my sister asked if I was balding 'cause I have such a high forehead. Funny thing is she's now trying very hard to convince me that I'm not balding even when I obviously am... still not receding, though lol.

I was an NW1 when I was 14, NW2 by 16, at that point i was irrational and crapping it thinking id be NW5 by 20. At 16 the comments started i.e 'are you going bald?'. Life since has been a matter of waiting patiently for the comments to go from the polite inquisition to the assertion of 'you are going bald'. This started last year just before i got on treatments. I admit ive been fortunate in that its not been as severe as i had thought it would be and it took a long time for the comments to come so assertively

You would think that from the age of 16 to 27 i would have had ample time to come up with a better retort for when this began. Its mainly women who point it out, I think becuase guys know people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. The women generally arent confrontational, more they seem thoughtless but curious, its not holding me back with them. Still, when they helpfully point out that i am receding (almost always in front of an audience) I dont want to say 'actually its unlikely i will go bald with my family history, plus the fact that i am a very slow receder, currently taking a potent oral dht inhibitor and also topical growth stimulator. Plus what with the advent of hair transplant's being more seemless than ever and encouraging experimental treatments in the pipeline, i am personally fortunate in that i will likely be able to prevent myself going bald if i so wish'. No, I prefer to come up with something more snappy like 'yeah im losing it, but youd still f*** me wouldnt ya'.

Suffice to say the situation never ends well, but if im gonna look emasculated in front of an audience goddamnit im doing it on my terms!!

I find it strange that you get women commenting in front of groups about it when you''re NW2....you ever posted pics? I've only ever had guys comment on mine!!

Haha sorry dude i dont post anything of me on any site, its my one commandment! I am an nw2 but im diffusing in the frontal third, with creative styling i can hide it but on a bad hair day it is quite apparent. Plus i have a large forehead which i had even when i was Norwood 1 and that really emphasises it.

I have had the odd guy point it out, but it is much more predominantly women. I do probably encourage this sort of thing, i have the kind of personality which people like to bring down for some reason!

I can relate to you a lot, guy with a puppet on the avatar. In physical condition, and may I also say that most of your posts covered by an aura of intelligence. You're one of the most sympathetic posters to me personally. Just felt like posting it.
