You could have extremly bad luck and could be telogen effluvium, will be extremly weird since you used a low dose. But , I strongly suggest you to check if father, grandfather, etc, start to bald young. Cause , in many case, what it happen, is that accutane is actually stoping male pattern baldness, and once it is stoped, after a month or so ( not during ) people see hair loss. Like if you was using minoxidil or finasteride, and then you stop it, if you have male pattern baldness, it will start to fall .

Again, could be just telogem effluvium, if is that, it should regrowth alone. Again, it is not like you was using 120mg daily for 4 month. Even, so , 60, for my opinion, it is two much. Best is to use 10 to 20mg for long period of time. The high dose is old school ( 90s ) .
You think accutane was just stopping my male pattern balding and once I hopped off it started? That honestly makes sense. Like I had been hardly taking the accutane at all and took like 2 weeks lazily without taking it, started noticing a lot of hair thinning more in the mirror, then completely stopped. I don’t know what’s going on. I can only assume I’m balding I guess. Should I take finasteride? I don’t care man I’m not ready to go bald I’m only 20. If I could hold it off with finasteride until 30 that would be great.

What’s the safest way to try inhibiting DHT for hair loss with minimal sides? Could I try finasteride and the moment I notice side effects hop off?
No one is saying that medications are like "candy". However the psychological scarring that comes from baldness, incipient or otherwise can be harrowing. People with incipient baldness who don't use either reductase inhibitors or minoxidil are easy to spot. They are the ones who are visibly bald the rest of their lives because there's nothing else that works.

You could go hang out on an experimental thread for a couple of weeks and this becomes clear. They all are basically the same thing, people hankering about treatments that don't work as well as either minoxidil or finasteride. "Solution X going into third round of testing in 2023." Some of those guys use 20 things instead of min or finasteride, as though that's a healthy path to the future or sustainable for most mortals. Even if you find one guy with "results" they tend to be pretty much not impressive. I often look at the pics they post and I see no difference while they are all excited about whatever it is that is largely invisible to the rest of us.

See an endocrinologist and get an opinion. That's a better route than listening to a bunch of people who have no ability to diagnose out here in cyberspace. So many people complain about hair loss due to accutane and usage of birth control that we just don't know if this is nocebo combined with something else or exactly what is happening but these also seem to be complaints of many cis-females where somehow the system gets thrown out of whack and it can be difficult to find a way out of the extended feed-back loop.

But I sure wouldn't wait in my own case. Min and finasteride allow many people to at least greatly slow down hair loss so you can take a deep breath and if it is male pattern baldness, then you can at least age gracefully so to speak. I had 25 years of maintenance on finasteride/min and I am thankful for both meds. I have never had any sides except maybe increased libido and increased rigidity of erections and I have never had any psychological sides but then again with the older generation we were thrilled when these meds came out; we tended not to sit around and moan "oh poor me". Instead we were like, "thank Goddess...."

Minoxidil plus tretinoin ( 5 % + 0.025 % ) plus ketoconazole shampoo 2 % ( leave it for 10 to 20 minutes before wash it ) .
If you want finasteride, try it topical, you can add it to the lotion at a very low dose , from 0.025 % to 0.1 % .

So Telogen Effluvium can cause short miniaturization of hairs? Now I’m wondering if I hopped on finasteride too soon. Sigh ..
