Your hairdresser is either lying or delusional, you clearly have male pattern baldness. finasteride should halt your loss. You should revaluate in 6 months, maybe add in loniten after that if you are not satisfied.

Hi thanks for that input I would like to know what type of baldness I’m going to get :( what is loniten.

You are going to get the bald baldness. Probably Norwood 6. Loniten is the oral version of minoxidil. It is alot more effective and easier to keep up with than the topical version.

Thanks for the information and making me feel great haha! I don’t think you can get Loniten in the U.K.? Do you not use it at the same time as finasteride? 6 months finasteride then 6 months Loniten

Im not here to make you feel great, im here to help you. You can buy it legit online from Alldaychemist and inhouse pharmacy without a prescription. You can use it the same time as finasteride, but it must be used twice a day like topical minoxidil. 5mg in the morning and 5mg at night. After 6 months of finasteride DO NOT stop using it. Use both. Im a month and a half in on loniten and im starting to see regrowth on my hairline which is where my loss is. You must act fast because its easier to maintain hair than to regrow it. Good luck.

Thanks for those tips I will see if I can get that but those shops don’t exist in the U.K. interesting you say everyday twice a day when others are saying finasteride every day which I’m doing the the shampoo etc ever other day.

Im in the UK too, those websites are online pharmacies who do ship to the UK as ive used them both myself. I said loniten twice a day, finasteride is only once a day. finasteride is to maintain and Loniten is to regrow. finasteride can regrow too but you are considered very lucky if you get regrowth from it.

Okay super I must’ve been looking in the wrong place. But you recommend using finasteride On its own for six months before moving on to the other product.

Thats right. If finasteride works well for you the loniten may not even be necessary. Take baseline pictures and compare after 6 months :)

UPDATE

Right I have been using finasteride per day now since October 2017 and Minoxidil ( 2 times a day) by Kirkland signature since October 2018. It appears to my eye to have made no difference in fact I would say it appears to be getting worse or this could be the hair cut or angle.

I’m 39 in May and starting to feel like nearly 50. Have I reached the end of what I can do at home and need to seek a professional? Or is the Minoxidil causing a problem?

To be honest I lost my account details and site access so I did not start loniten as thought Minoxidil was the same so maybe this is the next step and stop Minoxidil?

Thanks guys

Thanks for the reply.

Dutaseride how much should I use ? What does this do? Can you get that online in the UK?

I have looked for Oral Minoxidil called
Loniten 2.5mg tablets but can’t find them either on a online pharmacy.

You can get dutasteride in the UK from NHS approved online pharmacies. You should go to your GP and ask to be referred to a dermatologist, though.

Dutasteride is another hair loss medication which is prescribed to men, and is stronger than finasteride. Celebrities such as Ashton Kutcher used it.

Nizoral is good as per clinical conclusion and evidence. Idk about finasteride. But you seems to be on right track ,keep it up.

Thanks guys, I think finasteride is working as the loss has not been massive. However I think maybe it’s the topical solution? Maybe an oral one would be better?

I have 3 months of the topical left to use atm.

Why? Does anyone know where to get oral loniten online from? Or will I have to go to GP?

You would have to speak to your GP / dermatologist about the oral minoxidil. I doubt the supplements work because androgenic alopecia needs something stronger to combat.
