Why is every hairloss product now tested on Norwood 3 or up. What about testing on a Norwood 2? or testing on the temples instead of the crown like every other product? Is every company scared of actually proving there product can grow hair back in any spot?

A person who's a NW2 isn't necessarily suffering from male pattern baldness, so testing on a person who probably doesn't have a lot of DHT affecting his hair would be rather pointless.

I guess they could check for minaturization, but not everyone is sold on that boat.

I don't believe that NEOSH101 works by inhibting DHT, so there should be no reason not to try it on the temples

Well, people tend to believe that frontal hair is more sensitive to dht + t.
So a DHT inhibitor wouldn't work as well there as it would on the back, even if it would work. But this NEOSH stuff doesnt work with DHT, that's what I based my reasoning on.

But yes you are also right powersam, dht-stuff work on the front too, but just not as good as on the back.

Any update from it?

Trial really lasts 7 months: 4 months of treatment, 3 months observation after treatment.

The ph2c is still recruiting patients, I dont know why since it has been going on for some time now and they should have people on it. The ph2b stopped recruiting some good time ago and it is ongoing. Maybe they just dont have enough men & women on the team to evaluate all the results from both trials simultaneously? Or maybe it is ongoing and recruting at the same time.

We can just wait and see.

Results from the ph2b was going to be released at the end of this year according to Eugene Bauer, so it should be coming in very soon!

This could be huge, huge indeed. If the results come in strong then this will be better than minoxidil and you wont have to apply it everyday. Man I really hope it comes in strong.

The ph2a didnt really tell us much, they had the thing on for too short a time, it did beat minoxidil in the short run, now comes the real deal.

If you guys are interested, I sent Neosil an email asking when they hope to release the product and I got this responce yesterday.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your interest in Neosil’s hair growth product. Neosil is a privately-held dermatology-focused specialty pharmaceutical company. We recently completed an early Phase 2 clinical trial in Germany. Based upon the results of this study, we are conducting a new Phase 2 clinical trial in Germany to evaluate a longer treatment period. The results of this clinical trial will help us to determine subsequent activity with our hair treatment program. Neosil-sponsored Phase 2, 3 and 4 clinical trials are posted on http://www.clinicaltrials.gov.

Sincerely,

Sounds about right, but wassup with the ph3 & 4 trials? I can't see any info on them from clinicaltrials, just the 2b & 2c.

They send out this standard response to anyone asking them anything.

Anyway, 2b results should be up soon. The 2b is neosh vs minoxidil and that is the most interesting.

the 2c is neosh x% vs neosh y% vs neosh z% so they know how much stuff to put into the thing.
