Goddamit, once its prooven to be safe they should be able to release the damn stuff, so they can say yeah we REALLY think this will help you regrow your hair and then simulataneously carry on trials so later on they can wack on 'proven to regrow hair'.

Well if it is safe it doesn't mean it is as efficient as it needs to be.
And it costs a lot of money to release a product out to the market, they want to be sure it will hit the market hard before/if they do it. Specially considering how small this company actually is, its not that they got other products to back them up, this is more or less it for them.

a good thing is that they got some funding some time back too on 10m$ from Hercules. Seems they are on to something.
Man I wish they could just release the results by now.

Personally, I agree with you. Providing they're honest about what they currently know about the product, they should be able to release it if it's safe. I think we should be able to make a choice to try something that may not work if we want to.

The point above is fair, that it might not be economical for the company to launch it before they're sure of what it can do. But it should be up to the company and its consumers, not some regulatory body.

Well,

I for one enjoy that we have that regulatory body. Sure it might seem that it takes a god awful long time to get something through it but it is necessary because we are dealing with peoples health here. One could argue that the ph3 and one year filing for final fda approval can be tedious at best and some drugs skip those phases. Whether neosh will be one of them remains to be seen.

I think we should be able to buy stuff (maybe just from online sources in bare research form) after phase#2 is completed.

I don't think they should be able to sell it as early as phase#1 though. Phase#2 provides some more cushion time for unforeseen safety issues to surface. And at least some basic proof of efficacy needs to remain a firm demand, or else we'll end up with lots more snake oil flooding this "not-quite-approved" market.

I guess I'd prefer it if agencies that regulated medication had a more advisory role. I am glad that they exist and I appreciate their guidance but I don't believe their recommendations should be binding.

I think the FDA needs more powers specifically supplements and a new branch of the fda that regulates all this cosmetic crap like wrinkle creams and all that garbage. Its all just a crap shoot of garbage when the FDA isnt there to make companies prove something works. Yes it takes lots of money, but if a small company has something that works well I promise they will find funding if they make a strong case for it and get through FDA approval. I think the approval process should be harder or longer if anything. You cant rush this stuff theres unknowns in it.

They stopped recruiting for the 2c trial, finally!

Now lets hope for some results on 2b very soon. Damn this is exciting.

Thing is they had the neosh101 formula on for a very very short period of time + once daily only + long breaks in between, so the ~5(4.8?)% is not saying much.

ph2b&c go for longer testing-periods and also a fair comparison with the minoxidil formula.

we can only wait and see...

We could be waiting for ever though,

Powersam, your dog will probably go through a huge shed in the summer!

its just a matter of months before they release ph2b status or ph2b+ph2c status, not for ever.

I guess they are waiting for the 2c to be finished so they can add up results into one report.
