your success is the reason im going to phone boots up tomorrow and go get a pescription for finasteride... already been on the nizoral and min for a month.... but was/am worried about the side effects of taking finasteride... but stories like yours make me determined to give it a shot....

LOL well, I might give it a couple years, I still don't like my temples at all, they make my face very "ovalish", but I may be able to pull off the Ashton Kutcher haircut now, so I'm going to see...

Anyways, yeah give finasteride a try... go easy on it, if you get proscar cut them into 5ths, if you get sides, well you'll know. I was very against taking any kind of med myself when I started, but looking in the mirrior and seeing my scalp all the way to the back of my head made me nearly suicidal so I said f*** it... glad I did.

Wow amazing result! I had no idea this amount of re-growth was evil possible with finasteride or minoxidil :shock: It looks like you had a hair transplant!!

How do your friends react to your new head of hair? Surely they are suspicious?

Hahaha, yes a couple of my friends have noticed and thought I was putting a concealer in my hair, but I shook it and showed them I wasn't. Another friend of mine who is balding finally mustered up the courage and asked me about what I was doing, he was/is really self concious as was I, so it feels good to help him.

So far I'm about 8 months into treatment and things are looking good. I suppose the 1 year will be the final result, which I am really looking forward to. The sheds have been very scary but I think I'm finally accustomed to dealing with them and feel that they really are benefical, as much as they scare the crap out of you.

I just understand why guys like StrangeKarma, who are applying foam to the frontal region, receive such amazing results......and others get screwed well below basline. I guess thats just one of those "I don't get its"?
Keep it up, seriously looks nice.

Take Proscar before going to sleep would be more effective?

Wow, did you notice any growth the first month and what kind of growth was it if so?

By that I mean, I have been on finasteride for a month, and ive noticed fuzzy hairs on my temples that i can only notice when I take a picture from the top of my head, my hairline looks alot like yours did at first, alittle less drastic, but if I could get your results, id be the happiest man on the planet. Congratz dude !

And do you only take your finasteride before bed? when and how often do you apply minoxidil?

There wasn't much growth in the first month really. I started to notice my hair getting thicker around the third month. I always take my finasteride before bed, and I apply minoxidil before bed as well. (once a day).

Cool, I think I will start taking it before bed.. never know, maby it has something to do with your system shutting down while you sleep. I have only been on finasteride for almost 2 months though.. and ive noticed a lot of growth, about as much as you did by month 2 looks like.

Having blonde hair though makes it a b**ch to see

I would advise definitely continuing with minoxidil at least once a day. Too many make the mistake of stopping it once they see some regrowth or include another treatment like finasteride thinking it will hold minoxidil grown hairs in place. Great result btw!

Yeah actually I did. I ordered some products from skin actives, and they seem to have caused my eyes to look normal again.
