Ok guys i know your all experts here so please let me know what you think of these products. Im a noobie in hair loss so please let me know whats up. Do you think any of these products work for REGROWING some hair?

EXT Extreme Hair Therapy Shampoo

Advecia http://www.advecia.com/

ThymuSkin Shampoo http://www.thymuskin.com

HairGenesis http://www.HairGenesis.com

Hair Loss Treatment: F N S / Follicle Nutrient Serum (Piliel)

I just spent like 2 1/2 hours looking at hair loss products and researching them. On most product websites they will make it look amazing like it makes miracles on people. Alot of sites I went to I later discovered the products claims stated on the site where false. I am really tired from my reasearching so im gunna ask you about these ones. I found out that HairGenesis really has a 66% success rate and the before and after pics of some peps on the site they had some hair transplants. But they do have FDA approval. Please let me know what you think of these products guys.

Hey, yea ive been to that hair loss site many times. And this is not a battle I want to fight lol. Wish i could go AWALL. That site kinda leaves out products. Ive researched hair loss just as much as the products and treatments.

Here is my hair situation. My hair is super thin. At my temples I have maybe half an inch of balding going on that I need to fill in. My actual hairline has not receded or became narrow so if I comb my hair forward you cant tell I have hair loss. But if I comb my hair back you can tell i got a high hair line and thin *** hair. Im a NW1 right now. My hair is not really bad now but I want to prevent it from escalating while the problem is still small.

What do you recommend? Everyone told me to use propecia but i cant really use that cause im young. I think i should use a DHT blocking shampoo and some type of growth stimulant shampoo. I cant use the BIG 3. What do you think of Nano shampoo and Nizoral?

HAIR LOSS SUCKS every hair product ive looked at had defaults to it. Im so lost. I have no clue what to use. The minute a product looks good I will read some bad side effects or angry customers telling the truth about how it doesnt work and countless other things.

Here is my reccomendation for your age, based on my research, not personal experience...

If you want to maintain your hair:
- spironolactone Topical Lotion (Available at minoxidil.com) for DHT blocking
- Nizoral 1% Shampoo every 3rd day (at your local drug store) for Scalp Health
- Optional - Folligen/Tricomen Spray, to reduce scalp irritation and encourage cell regeneration growth

If you want to regrow:
- Add Minoxidil 5% to the areas you want to regrow.

Thanks for your help man. Do you think this can really work? I mean the Folligen/Tricomen cremes are perfect for my situation. And is it true that Nizoral can stimulate hair growth? And is Minoxidil 5% ok for me to use even though I just turned 17? Is it ok for me to put over 5 products in my scalp? And shouldnt I also use a shampoo that makes my hair thicker?

And I really wanna do something about my hair now. But my hair is still ok. I would hate to use these products and see my hair get worse because of them for some reason. There are no side effects like that? How long you think i should use this regimen? Im willing to try it for a year if I dont see results by then i will stop.

And btw how is your hair? You use Nizoral and folligen/Tricomen, how is that? Does any of this work for you? Do you notice any type of improvement?

"Hair Genesis" has FDA approval???

I read the ingredients on that page. That treatment is simply a nutritional supplement and is a scam, IMHO.

I wont say its useless, since saw palmetto and some of the other ingredients might be beneficial for hair growth and overall health. However, you'd get off much cheaper buying saw palmetto and green tea/grape seed at Walmart, taking a multivitamin, getting your Essential Fatty Acids from Flax oil or fish oil and using the PROVEN TREATMENTS.

Propecia
Minoxidil

not officially proven but for sure beneficial
spironolactone
nizoral
copper peptides/SODs

Thank you and good night.

Bruce, he's 17, I wouldn't want to see a kid that young on Finasteride.

I wouldn't want to see him waste 150-200 bux on a treatment that is NOT fda approved. The test they did was fda REGULATED. Oh yeah, they also forgot to mention that there were 10 test subjects given the treatment. The doctor that invented it, when interviewed on Dateline, admitted to having a hair transplant between his before and after pictures.

Does this mean the treatment doesn't work? No, but it seems like there are too many shady details that weren't made apparent for it to warrant paying 200 bux for a three month supply of the treatment combination.

In that case, I would substitute spironolactone for finasteride and evaluate in say 9 months.

Good point.

Yea i read that dateline NBC thing on HairGenesis its a scam. And im only 17 and still in high school I cant use propecia and rogaine cause of my age. Even if i could there is no way I want to have my shed during the school year.

And reality just hit me really hard this morning.I came outta the shower this morning and had my hair slicked back. Then I looked at my hairline in the light and it started so far back. I have maybe and Inch on both temples that I need to regrow. This was really depressing for me cause I was just looking at a picture of me from like exactly 1 year ago and its a perfect picture of my hair. And my hairline was so perfect then and now its sh*t. Its worse than I thought. I cant believe that I lost all my hair pretty much this year. I am gunna be SCREWED if it continues at this rate and obviously look bald by 18.

Please help me through this tough time guys. And this really sucks for me cause when I was in middle school I was considered ugly and girls would just be so cruel and just pure straight up diss me. Then around last year girls started sayin I was hot and paying attention to me and being super nice. I was so happy cause It was like revenge for me. And now im loosing my hair. And the thing that sucks about this is HAIR CAN MAKE YOU OR BREAK YOU. At least I had short term revenge. And this is extra depressing for me because my sister is like gorgeus and random men, women, children of all ages tell her this all the time. It sucks she got so lucky and I got screwed.

That site he referenced is this site.

What products were left out? If you're referring to those like Thymuskin, you're right. We left them out intentionally because they have no science backing them. All the products we know of that have potential to work are listed. Want to make your own list, be our guest, but we warned ya :)

If you're genuinely losing hair this early, Rogaine and Tricomin and Nizoral is what I would use if I were you. Then get on Propecia once you hit 18 or 19 with the consent of a physician. This should completely take care of your concerns if you stick with it.

There is no such thing unfortunately. No shampoo's can do this at this time, despite what some may claim.

YoungGuy17 said:

You can use 2 of the big 3 and add Tricomin and make your own Big 3 :)

Nizoral would be a great idea.

OK just chill for a minute.

Here is some direct workable advice.

Use spironolactone from Dr. Lee at http://www.minoxidil. A topical anti DHT agent that wont mess with your hormones.

Use Minoxidil. You are not too young. A shed is not guaranteed but could happen. It will pass.

Use Nizoral shampoo every third day for 5 minutes.

Use NANO shampoo on the other days. It MAY help avoid the shedding.

Start now and stay on for the next 9 months. Keep us apprised of how you are doing.

Good luck

And guys this is how I see it. I dont care how much money a hairtransplant costs I think it doesnt matter if it rebuilds your confidence and self esteem. Right now since I can maybe still have a chance to get my original full head of hair back Im gunna do whatever it takes to uphold the hair I have and regrow my hair at the temples. But if lost a good amount of hair and I looked bald. Im not gunna spend my time and money trying to keep it and regrow some of it back. All that would do is just take my hair longer to fall out and waste my time and give me false hope. Even if it worked my hair would still not look great. Cause I will never have my same normal hairline. I would prefer to just see it go fast and get a hairtransplant.

On my dads family men had the hairline receed like mine around 17 and it would stop. Then they started loosing their hair again at like 23-24. Lucky in my family on both sides once it really starts going it starts going and you will loose your hair completly in like 2 years. Then i could get a transplant.

No qualified MD with ethics would do a hair transplant on you at your age. And from any number of standpoints, it would be very stupid on your part.

This is the short answer to your thoughts.

Yea I still have hope I might not start loosing my hair anymore untill im 23-24. My dads situation was identical to mine, I inherited his hair. He had receding hair exactly like mine at 17 and then didnt loose till 23. Plus I said I wont expect it to fall out like 2 years after that. I know you have to fully loose your hair before you get a transplant.

Also if you fully lost your hair at 18 could you get a transplant? I know a guy who was pretty close to have full hairlose at 18.

The appropriate couse of action is to try drug therapy for at least 18 months and then evaluate.

Ok thank you guys very much for your help. But let me know what you guys think of the stuff I should use for my regimen.

- Nano Shampoo use everyday (substitute it with my regular shampoo)
- spironolactone Topical Lotion for DHT blocking
- Folligen/Tricomen Spray, to reduce scalp irritation and encourage cell regeneration growth
- Nizoral 1% Shampoo every 3rd day for Scalp Health
- Add Minoxidil 5% to the areas you want to regrow.

What do you guys think of this regimen? I think thats a lot of stuff to be putting on my hair but besides the shampoos its really 4 products. Also with Rogaine it says to just put it in the areas where you experiment hair loss which is at my temples. This would be very easy for me to apply to just my bald temple area. So would I still experiment hair loss? Even though Im just putting it in the area where there is no hair already?

Good routine. I would put the minoxidil in the balding areas and hairline.

Good luck
