Thanks for your help guys it makes me feel better. But I have 3 questions.

I noticed my hairline is more receded on my right temple than the left, why is that?

If i just put rogaine in just my bald temple areas, would I still go through a shed even though im just putting it in the areas that are already bald?

Also will rogaine help me? My problem area is front temples and its stated that rogaine doesnt work on those areas only the back.

Asymetrical balding is normal

You may. Minoxidil "travels." Simply put it where you need it and you will shed or not. The shed will not kill you but worrying might! :)

Yes, it will work in the front also.

So Bruce with your last statement that Minoxidil "travels" are you saying that if I apply minoxidil on my vertex (only) that I could shed on my frontal hairline... I am not trying to be sarcastic with that statement but that could explain my sudden frontal shed or at least I hope....

It is possible. but we can't know for sure. My advice on "shedding" is that it is something to be ignored. Not to minimize it but you will have hair falling out, we all do. Some days it SEEMS worse than others but that can also be an illusion.

Use the best science has to offer, and be comforted that you are doing what you can do. No more, no less.

Ahh i have a couple questions again.

If i use rogaine and I start shedding, if I stop will my hair go back to the way it was before?

And where can I buy spironolactone Topical Lotion for DHT blocking and get more information about it?

And honestly do I have a good chance at regaining some hair?

Im kinda a skeptic and I have a feeling that it wont really work. Luckly it works best for guys who just start loosing their hair and down have much to regrow so I have that on my side. But im not getting my hopes up or anything and Im hoping for the best, but im really thinking of a let down.

for most people, the sheds are temporary. Usually, the hair will grow back thicker. Also know that your hair naturally sheds. Everyone's does.

I don't believe anyone here is a doctor that has examined you, and even if they were, they probably wouldn't be able to tell you if you have a good chance or not. You know the numbers and percentages, since you researched.

Look at it this way -- the way my mother always told me to look at things like this -- plan for the worst and pray for the best.

The good thing about the treatment is that your "worst" will just be whatever is natural for you. I've never heard of hair loss treatments causing baldness. Baldness causes baldness.

You will likely experience some shedding. Don't stop the minoxidil. It TAKES TIME TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yes you are skeptical and the data suggests that these treatments work for the majority of men. What is behind your skepticism? Why dont you want this to work?

Are you really hoping for the best. It does not sound it!

Ofcourse I want it to work. But i just dont want to depend on it 2 work and be let down. And if i do regrow hair will it grow out long like the rest of my hair? Or will it just grow fuzzy and thin and not long? And how long does a shed last for on average? All the rogaine sites I went to it doesnt talk about sheds.

And does spironolactone Topical Lotion for DHT blocking really work? Can anyone post a site with info on spironolactone besides this site. I read somewhere that spironolactone really doesnt do much.

1 There are no guarantees on this and the odds are that these treatments will work for you. Your disappointment is within your own head or it is not.

2 Hair regrown starts out a tad thin and then normalizes over time.

3. No data on the "average" shed. You may or may not shed. Why all the agony over it? You will or you wont. It will last as long as it lasts.

If you dont treat your hair loss, the shed will last as long as your hair stays in your head. That wont be long if you are truly on the male pattern baldness route.

4. spironolactone works for some and it does not have FDA trials to back it up. If you decline to use finasteride, it is the best alternative (IMHO). Dr Lees site has info on spironolactone.

You can also do a search on Medline.

A tip for you. If you dont get off your *** and start something, your hairloss is guaranteed. You keep looking for a sure thing, no such thing in hairloss or life in general.

MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Lee will advise you on the use of the spironolactone. Re: Folligen and Tricomin, I would hold off on these. Give the other topicals a shot for say 6 months. No need for overkill right away.

Good luck

Ok bruce im gunna order my regimen now and start it right away. Is it ok if i hold off on the folligen and spironolactone and just use tricomin spray?

- Nano Shampoo use everyday (substitute it with my regular shampoo)

- Tricomin Spray, spray once a day all over my hair after shampoo

- Add Minoxidil 5% use twice a day, in morning right after I shampoo in bald areas and then again 2-3 hours before I go to bed.

- Nizoral 1% Shampoo every 3rd day for Scalp Health for 5 min

So does this sound ok? Do I have your approval? I just want to be 100 percent sure I know exactly what to do I dont want to do anything wrong.

I found out that HairGenesis really has a 66% success rate and the before and after pics of some peps on the site they had some hair transplants. But they do have FDA approval

"Hair Genesis" has FDA approval???

I read the ingredients on that page. That treatment is simply a nutritional supplement and is a scam, IMHO.

I wont say its useless, since saw palmetto and some of the other ingredients might be beneficial for hair growth and overall health. However, you'd get off much cheaper buying saw palmetto and green tea/grape seed at Walmart, taking a multivitamin, getting your Essential Fatty Acids from Flax oil or fish oil and using the PROVEN TREATMENTS.

Propecia
Minoxidil

not officially proven but for sure beneficial
spironolactone
nizoral
copper peptides/SODs

Thank you and good night.

i was on hairgenesis a year..it thickened my hair a little..i think, but it didn't regrow anything..the creator actually called me to buy his sh*t. truth is he got a hair transplant and openly admitted it to me. he told me that if his product didn't work, he'd reccomend a hair transplant surgeon who'd help me.. he does whatever he can for you to buy his product..including his special 25% off discount..which he gave me.. everything is just expensive to make it catch your eye and make you think "sh*t, if it's that expensive, it has to work"..i don't reccomend it.. you can get things for 10 dollars that'll give the same benefits that gave me in a year

Yea HairGenesis is a scam. That 66 percent rate was from a study on 10 people and they dont include that on the site. He also doesnt include on the site that he had a hairtransplant and some of the patient photos have had hair transplants. Its just another product added to the list of hair scams.

yeahit's the perfect scam..people are so desperate to try anything that promises them to regrow hair..which involves spending all their money in order to do so. ...don't fall for it..and another trick these scam companies do is they use the before pictures as after pictures and the after pictures as before pictures to make it look like hair was grown..good trick huh? watch out for it

It always cracks me up how people will pay a fortune for something like Avacor but scorn Minoxidil.
