Not Having Kids Due To Faulty Genes

Ahh tell me about it! "You should get a crew cut", "Why don't you spike your hair up" haha and then you just play it off as if you like to keep your hair short. Short hair does look the best aesthetically, it's all about the hairline. It's always daunting when a girl grabs your hat and tries to hold it away from you when your hair is all messed up.

It's a crapshoot isn't it? Even a fullhead can pass on a recessive male pattern baldness gene. And a bald uggo might not pass on his. Or just have a girl.

You can't control this stuff.

I want to reproduce, but it hurts me to much to think about what my son will have to endure, and how much pain I went through. Small frame, and skinny with the smallest muscles ever prior to lifting, and then eventually balding.

it would tear me apart for my kid to have to go through this.

Only way I would take a chance is with a women who has good genes. Strong, thick, and dense hair, good muscle:BF ratio where she has the thickness in size that I lack on a genetic level. Most importantly good bones, which can be exhibited on her ankles, and wrists. Women with healthy bodies tend to have solid calve development I tend to notice.

I can't take any risks. OH. and not marrying a f*****g manlet like my dad did. Moms like 5'1....

i had strong thick dense hair i had hair like a hair model...it actually still looks good to most naked eye

you can't tell by the quality of hair. hair loss is not about density or hair quality. my hair was so dense it used to take me an hour to blow dry it in my 20s.

i got AA but looks like Androgenetic Alopecia its so random from what i am learning.

My best friend is absolute gorgeous--she got MS at age 33.

Life's a freaking crap shoot.

How delluded do you have to be to think this looks natural.

Diffused NW7 sides, and a piece that doesn't even match natural hair characteristics.

Yeah sadly in the end these guys, consequently without trying,
only seem to keep the wig-stig(ma). campfires burning.

Hairblues, does your friend have progressive ms or remitting?

Its a terrible illness either way - I'd rather be bald than bed bound.

numbers and chances moron, if you are bald you have high chances to pass

> or just have a girl

I think for me having a kid would be very risky as I am carrying aggressive autoimmune disease genes.

If my alopecia is bad enough to take away all my body hair and most of my fingernails, then what if my kid gets severe MS or arthritis instead?

No one should inherit that.

I think your sacrifice is profoundly selfless and noble.
Having just said that I think you'll make a fine father also.
Adoption for some can be a saving grace.

Plus we have to factor in the fact that some siblings bald more aggressively than others and others not at all.
Like in my case ie; I have 6 brothers (older) who did not exhibit any symptoms of early male pattern baldness (nor did my father, his entire life).
#6 finally started showing signs (scalp itch, discernible temple recession) in his early 30's. To this day even the eldest's hairline is doing fine.
My male pattern baldness reduced me to a Norwood 4 by age 22. So all I can say to anyone, if you're not crazy now, you will go bona-fide bananas, if/when you try to unravel
the genetic secrets of this crazy disease. All the same, more power to those who are trying

Coincidently(?) I am the only fully-blown -bald sib. afflicted with seborrheic dermatitis.

Adoption for some can be a saving grace.

Or alternatively, sperm banks.

Logically, if there was a way to modify sperm in the lab to put in thick hair, tall, intelligence, disease resistance genes, I think people would take it. If that is acceptable, then the next step is to take good genes sperm from a sperm bank.

I, too, won't have any children. Not that I have a choice here, most women find me disgusting, and rightly so, so I will die alone anyway. My shitty genes shall die with me, as it was meant to be.
try a combination of pheromone sprays, and devising tighter game.

I wanna make a post here for people to evaluate my current state.
As for genes, I believe that I have great genes that can be passed on, I'm only 20 right now but I do have thick hair for now. I'm 6"3, strong facial features, muscular. So with a nice female we could make great kids I believe :)

Evaluate your current state, eh.

Okay...

I suggest getting your I.Q. tested asap. If you can't at least score in the triple digits, DON'T have kids.

We have more than enough dumb f*cks running around ... at least here in the US.

If you score well on the test, I'd say you're good to go. Just make sure the girl isn't dumb as a brick.

Oh, and if your pappy or one of your grandpappies (especially mom's old man) happens to be NW4 or higher, get castrated NOW... lol

Nah, I'll just save money for Steam sales and PS4 games.
Games are absolute trash on steam at the moment.

I can't find anything good. I keep purchasing, and refunding.

The only good game is H1Z1: just survive

With all this genes talk...

today I was facebook stalking the members of the family who used to be the kids down the street I hung out with growing up...and holy f*** talk about good genes being passed on....it's a pretty extended family, and everyone just looks so...VIBRANT. They're all like 6.5 to 8, with the exception of a few older people putting on some weight. Was looking through the pictures and everyone just seems like they're having a grand old time...going on vacations together, getting engaged, laughing with babies...had me thinking about how nice it would be to have kids and try to build a legacy...create some of these nice family memories.

And then I think about what the chances would be of my family somehow coming out with master genes like that...seems pretty slim...not to mention I don't think my current personality is geared very well toward being a family man. What is the possibility of people looking through my future family's photos of our times together and seeing the same level of vibrancy?

I get this surreal feeling when I think about how my dream in life used to be marriage, family, kids....and at the moment that seems like such an foreign possibility

she has episodes on and off. So far nothing permanent but when she has episodes she is bed ridden.
She takes it easy a lot she does not push herself--she has a lot of triggers getting too hot, too tired, too stressed all triggers.

Sounds like remitting which is awful but not as terrible as progressive.
