I told my parents did his balding was a contrubuting factor to killig himself. They started yelling at me that im sick. Thoughts?

well i'd just tell my parents "if baldness doesn't matter why am i still single? when i never had any problems before i hit NW3"
but my parents already know how bad male pattern baldness is. my mother actually offered to contribute $2000 towards a hair transplant

So? Fake tits are fake too and no one cares. This DJ had women left and right and could go to Hollywood transplant surgeon. Drink himself to death at 28. No sympathy here.
Fake tits are hidden under shirts, and they look hot as f***. Once you get her shirtless, you are too horny to care if its fake or not.

Your hairline is on full display 24/7.

They obviously don't want the responsibility for passing on the balding gene.

Denial is a powerful emotion.

did anyone think he just killed himself in indulgent excess and not depression or self loathing? The guy became a millionaire DJ in his early 20's. You are not really level headed enough to know where your limits lie at that age. He probably just didnt want to give up the partying and women.

on a side note, DJ'ing is talent-less repetitive garbage.... to me.
lol normie sh*t. its common sense when to stop drinking. just lol if early 20s means you arent responsible enough to know when you're blacking out

well it just came out he killed himself by slicing his wrists.
people are saying "it was the drugs that killed him" but we all know the truth.
he was drinking and taking drugs for many years now. but it is only as his hair fell out that he took his own life.

You know, I'm inclined to believe you. Normally I would hasten caution in being so certain that an individual killed himself over hair loss.
But there was just something about this photo that screamed "this look will make an individual self loath like nothing else"
Here is the photo:

There is no coming back, psychologically speaking, when you are forced to face the world looking this way.

Also the fact that in nearly every photo on Google images this guy was wearing a cap. Speaks volumes.

This is going to be a more common trend unfortunately due to social media's explosion. So many people are exposed to ordinary people becoming famous on instagram by taking photos of themselves and being so good looking it goes viral. This guy unfortunately struggled with his looks/hair and took his life to be at peace. I was just watching a video on high functioning depression called dysthymia and realize I have it. I think more people have this and don't realize it. This guy had it too. Enough where people think you are normal. Unfortunately, I really think suicides and open public shootings are going to become more prominent because of this. Mental health eventually will be the number one cause of death in our world.

Don't complicate dysthymia.
dysthymia is persistent depressive disorder acc. to DSM-5.

At least 2 years.

Suicide is never an option.

If he wasn't happy with his looks(hair loss),this guy should have quit the DJ business.
It only takes one tweet/one facebook post to quit the job .

No need to face the world with burden.

There was also an option of taking rest for some time.

Don't involve parents in your trouble.
I did such mistake,I feel bad for this more than my hairloss.

One of the guy here suggested of one photo rating website to the forum 2 years back.
On that,I saw a pic of girl who said this:

"I think I am okay, but I am not getting any entry level job,so currently at home."
She is literally 4 according to hairlosstalk standards..
Important thing in her is she have balanced symmetrical face...

Her words inspires me to forget about hair loss and and face the world with positive attitude.

what happened with your parents ? did they focus on it too much ? mine want me to get married and give them grandkids, my face doesn't suit male pattern baldness at all so I am looking at hair transplant clinics.
the only problem is you read a lot of bad experiences (one from turkey, apparently the doctor did like 5 grafts himself, and the rest were gone by hair techs who were gossiping about their social life, and one tech was blatantly new and was being shown what to do by the other one...)

still if i was avicii i would have at least tried a hair transplant. especially with his money, he could have gone quiet for a year to "re-invent himself" like sarubhaj said (rest for a year) then come back with a good head of hair (or at least the start of a good head of hair, he could get further smaller hair transplant's afterwards)
