I use one too :D

been getting hair there since my early 20's

I used to have the same problem too - it was pretty annoying. Had to use the little side trimmer thingy in my late teens to get to the little buggers.

At least now my body does that for me.

Usually, when people that mocked you see their own looks decay, they'll initiate "cope mode" and say that we all get older/uglier/balder anyway.

My uncle is like that, he didn't go bald but became borderline morbidly obese. And he often likes to say things like:

"I know, I don't need to be attractive for anyone anymore, so what's the point?!"

The guy has been divorced 4 times.

Some of them even go all spiritual: "Looks are not what matters in life, god hates vain people!"

My cousin started going down this path after his alopecia areata episode.

"It's all pointless anyway! I don't care about my self-imposed flaws because we're all going to die anyway!"

God humans can be masters of cope.
But age does play a part in our inevitable physical downfall, wouldn't you say WPB?

Indeed.

We baldies know we are bald

Its just that going cue ball seems like a status of giving up, and we are fighters not quitters

People always tell OTHER people to just shave it when they are not experiencing hair loss. When they experience it themselves they are more hesitant to become a sly cueball themselves.

Precisely

Speak it with no sense of irony, and the same naive tone.

Karmic justice is indeed sickeningly sweet.

I would probably have told him to shave it while pretending to be giving honest advice, with a kind smile but with a cruel look in my eyes. I would have enjoyed it greatly.

Makes me think how since my teens I keep hearing this sh*t: " enjoy being skinny now, because in a few years your metabolism is going to slow down"

How much longer is a few years exactly? I'm a year and a half away from 30 now

Or when I was in my early 20's playing sports with people in their mid 20's, telling me "yea I'm not running hard because I'm old"

 right

Well sports can really give you a hint about this.
Even without injuries, at 35-40 your career is generally over.
At 35-40 (YMMV), the body becomes suddenly slower and more prone to fatigue.

I understand that, but these people were in their mid 20's at the time. I'm in my late 20's and about as physically active as anyone who's a non-profit athlete gets. My endurance and recovery still seem to be about the same as they've always been....granted I've been extremely physically active so it may play a role that I've maintained a high level of fitness

Its different for everyone. I slowed down at around 28 but my strength is still there.

If you look at athletes - some hit a wall at 30 whereas some do not decline until late 30s.

But sadly ageing does happen, and father time will always catch you at some point/
