Hello everyone

I wonder who has a bald and bald father, just for the statistics.

If the father is bald:

Is his condition worse or better than yours?

What's your grandfather's condition?

Anyone else bald in your family?

My dad went bald in his 30s, as far as I can tell from the limited pictures available. His dad was bald but his bother kept his hair. My mother's father kept his hair. My condition was on track to be similar to my dad's, perhaps a little worse, until I went on treatment.

I have 8 male first cousins. Of those, 1 has a more severe baldness, 1 has a comparable balding speed, and 6 have better hair unless one or more of them is wearing a wig.

My dad is like a NW4-5 in his 60's. Gradually receding hairline throughout his life. Almost all males on his side seem to follow this pattern including his father. I think his brother is on meds because he seems to be moderately stabilized around NW2.5-3 and it seems like something he'd be on given his personality. My dad used minoxidil for 10-15 years, but last he reported is off it now

Mom's dad died a thick NW2-2.5 in his 80's. Her brothers: one is a thick NW2 about 60 years old, other is NW4 late 60's(?). Saw a old fuzzy picture of her mom's dad recently and he appeared to be slick bald

Given this info it's essentially impossible to say who I inherited it from

I was NW2.5 at 25/26. Currently 29 and recovered to NW2

My dad only started heavily balding after he got cancer, which makes sense. Other than that he maintained a NW2 til 60. I got sh*t hair genes, he was such a Chad.

My dad balded hard starting in his teens. He was nw6 by 30.

When I got to 25 before i noticed the start of some loss I was blown away and felt lucky it took that long since I assumed I'd be as aggressively fucked as him.

My mom's side has full nw2 heads up to the 60s. Her dad was maybe nw3 when he died in his 80s. Probably those genetics helped slow my situation.

My father was norwood 3 between 40 and 55 and now is now at 65 noorwood 3.5 with considerable thinning on top. This would be considered balding but not bald right? What he had prior to age 60 would probably be considered below average I guess?

I am norwood 2.5 with diffuse thinning, possibly ahead of schedule (age 27).

nop , the bastard has more hair than me (26) while he's 54 :(

I wonder what it is like for men who remain fullhead past middle age while they watch their sons go bald. Seems like a strange experience. Do they tend to feel sorry and confused or do they just take the "he'll be fine, it's just hair" mindset

Very interesting that there are so many guys with a father with no male pattern baldness or minimal male pattern baldness!

I can't say that my father showed any sympathy to my thinning hair - but I had already left home and started working overseas when the main thinning occurred.

I think parents in general are oblivious to the fact that your suffering is down to them passing on this disgusting genetic trait.

yeah my father is NW2 with some mild crown diffusion also.
i got my hair from my mothers side - she has 3 brothers, all BALD.

it seems i got given the worst of the genes from my parents.
My mothers poor hair genes and my dads OCD/autism genes - why couldn't I have had my dads (normal) hair genes and my mothers (normal) mental genes ?

My dad is like a Norwood 2.5 with some general thinning at 60.

His dad was like a Norwood 5 when he died.

All my cousins and my uncles seen to be anywhere from a Norwood 3 to a Norwood 5.
