I have been on propecia for a week now and have had no side effects. However, I do agree that its not in your head. Your probably in that .5% how have adverse reactions to propecia. Try rogain.

Try some L-Arginine, its available from most health suppliment shops. I take it now after reading about it the forums and now I feel it harder to keep it down rather than up sometimes.

I find it best just to take it when you think you might need it, not necesseraly every day.

Flip,

If you have had a severe reaction to Propecia, then stay away from it. Some people who get side effects can stay on the drug, and eventually their bodies will adapt over time and the side effects will subside. However, if your side effects are particularly severe, I don't believe that is likely to happen in your case. You are better off sticking to topicals.

I feel I should update you, its almost coming up to a year and I am still having erection problems. I have had to resort to cialis and v**** to get good erections. I dont get morning erections anymore unless I have had v**** or cialis the night before. All I had was 2 propecia tablets and that was all. I also suffer from prostatitis though but I still believe the erection issues are more related to the propecia. I am only 24. Be very careful with that stuff

2 tablets will not cause impotence like that.

Thats crazy man, 2 tabs would not have done that to you. Plus your prob is getting worse - before you needed a bit of head to get hard ( no big deal, there are days when I need that also ), now you need pharms? That propecia is so far gone from your system.

I've been on propecia for 2+ years, I get tormented by night-time hard ons about 3 nights a week, forcing me to rub one out to get some rest - and wake with wood about that often also. Im 34 years old also.

I cant believe that little amount of drug ruined your sex life. The only thing I can think is that you jerk off too much - that can ruin your sex life as you get older. Save it for the g/f and you should be fine.

I quit taking finasteride two weeks ago after only 20 doses. I can relate here to what folks are saying. No morning wood, I had a tough time getting it up. After a week I felt I had no sensation below the waist. I had no such problems before finasteride.
It also seemed like I was getting "Peyronies" AKA the boomerwang.
I didn't like the thought of grading on a curve, so to speak.
Anyway, since I've been off finasteride for 2 weeks the curve is gone and I'm just about back to normal. I wanted to take finasteride for 3 months, however the curve and increasing dysfunction scared me. I still use 1% Nizoral, take a multi vitamin and workout. As if my cystic acne for the last 10 years wasn't enough now male pattern baldness. Ah yes festering scars and hair loss.
Life blows!

Give it a little more time. I have been on it since Sept. 12. Yesterday, it came back. At the oddest time of night, too. It actually woke me up.

I would've liked to stay on Propecia, but the curved wang really scared me. I'll ask my Doctor about it.

I had labido/erection problems after starting propecia. They all went away though, now I'm fine. Sometimes I'll get a "slump" but it's nothing a little L-Arginine can't handle.
