Propecia Rebound Effect

Hello,
I took Propecia for a week, and then my wife pleaded with me to stop because she's all about the natural way and not taking prescription drugs unless absolutely necessary, etc.
So I stopped about 10 days ago.
But now I'm worried that there was some sort of rebound effect. My crown seems to be getting balder. Maybe it's psychological -- I didn't pay enough attention before.
But maybe is there a rebound effect? That my testosterone (or whatever hormone Propecia affects) took a nosedive after I stopped?
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thank you so much!

Don't scare him :innocent:

Most of the available information points to a normal DHT level within a few days. Basically, the hormone that attacks your follicles will get to its normal levels pretty quickly.

As for the rebound effect, I don't think you've taken it long enough to cause such problems. I understand what you mean. You are saying that it is likely that your follicles get used to low levels of DHT and normal level of DHT would have an adverse effect. The information says that a person that has success on finastride should maintain his "finastride hair" for some time after quiting treatment. In other words, there is no information that points to any rebound effect.

I wouldn't stress myself too much about it.

I have to start my post with a disclaimer :innocent: I'm no finasteride expert...

I have read various articles stating anything from 3 months to a year.

It is not going to make much difference if you were a week on, 10 days off.

Secondly, the "natural" argument is a load of crap.
