Question for the long term Finasteride or Dutasteride users

To the guys who have used the pills for 3+ years.

Were the initial improvements great?
Did you initially have strong side effects that eventually went away?
Have the results started fading?

I'm goin on 2 months of low dose finasteride (0.125mg to 0.25mg) and I am curious if I get any results, how long it will last.

I had no side effects, no shed.

My results were fast and incredible then suddenly stopped. However...I haven't lost any ground whatsoever. I am still holding strong.

the most i could say is that its slowed down but obviously thats hard to say as i had a near full head of hair when i started in 2005. ive steadily lost
ground since i started. been on dutasteride 2/3 times a week since august '06. my results on dutasteride seem to be the worst on here actually.

When you say stopped.... Do you mean that you grew some hair back fast, then grew no more and maintained from there? Or you grew some, then lost that but maintained what you started out with?

That's awesome.

After doing a bit of reading, I'm planning on gradually increasing my dose from .25mg to .5mg, starting by dissolving 5mg Proscar in 100ml of vodka and taking 5ml. - So this should last 20 days. Does anyone know if Proscar will remain fine and effective dissolved in vodka for 20 days? As alcohol is a preservative I'd imagine it would, but does anyone know/reccomend different?
