The instructions that come with products such as propecia, minoxidil, tricomin, nizoral, etc.. are not very thorough. How and when they are applied is not, in all cases, explained.....and a lot is left to be technique. Does the technique in which these products are used make the results vary a noticeable degree?

For example, with Propecia; does it matter if it is taken first thing in the morning, at night, after a workout....and should it be taken the same time everyday? On an empty stomach, with food, water or juice to help it break down easier? A friend was crushing his up and dissolving it in hot tea for easier/quicker absorption.....?

minoxidil: in order to have two applications, with my sched, I have time for one in the morning and one at night. In the morning, my hair is still a little wet. Does this make a difference? The instructions tell me to 'apply' it to my scalp. What the hell does that mean? I used to use Avacor when I was really an ***, and it had me apply the stuff, and then comb (massage) it into the scalp from side to side (NOT back and forth...don't know why that would matter). Would this help? What is the recommended technique here? And if it does get all over my existing, full hair, is it damaging it?

Tricomin: same thing.....massage it in with a comb/brush? Is applying the minoxidil right after tricomin not a good idea? When I use the brush to massage the tricomin in, I notice a tingly feeling like it got down deeper and is more effective.

nizoral: Using it WITH my other shampoo. Does this mean put a dab in my hand with a dab of the regular shampoo? Or wash with one, then with the other? Two washes seems to dry out my hair more. Yet, washing and rinsing once seems to allow the products to get more to the scalp on the second wash.

I'm not trying to be a douchbag, I just wonder about the techniques, and if there is any knowledge out there about resultant affects.

Please, if you want to 'speculate' on any of this, please make it clear that it is your speculative opinion and not factual, or a true experience.

Thanks.

Wish I could help... Your probably going to be pissed becasue you think somebody actually respoded with an answer.

All I can tell you is I take Propecia in the morning, it's the easiest time to remember. Don't know if it matters, I guess it wouldn't. Don't use Monix so I can't help there.

I do use nizoral, I have used it for a month and will probably stop. I get TONS of shedding and my hair has never looked worse. I have found that you should use the nizoral then after so your hair doesn't dry out. Then just shampoo the next day if you want.

That's all I have. Sorry man

I have my propecia (1/4 proscar) in the morning - not for any reason my like chrome it's easier for me to remember.

I use nizoral 3 times a week. I first wash my hair with a baby shampoo then I use a drop of Nizoral and let it sit for 10 minutes or so. Use it the way it works best for you...

That's all I can give you...
