Thats just the english hairloss forums too.

Your second point i totally agree with. We need someway to get this issue out there. Even a bloody twitter page trying to spread awareness would be a great start.

Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest... anything and everything should be taken advantage of. But like I've said before, such an initiative should only be done when we have a clear answer from researchers that they're able to generate new follicles. Pursuing money without a solution is shooting in the dark.

However, Axwell had a fantastic idea; pursue money ANYWAY and donate it to the first team that solves the problem, kind of like a contest, to give them a head start on clinical trials to usher in a treatment as FAST as possible. This should be pursued in a nation that can expedite the trials in a short time for us to move on with our lives as fast as possible.

So lets say Dr. Lauster's team gets a working solution and Dr. Jahoda along with Histogen coming in second place. We could give 75% of the funds to Dr. Lauster, and the remainder to the 2nd and 3rd runner ups.

We were able to donate only $2,000 for Desmond on 2 forums. I don't think researchers will be interested in peanuts. But you're right, crowdfunding projects do need to have very strict objectives.

Are you unaware of all the snake oils people buy simply because they don't do their research?

When you go to a forum it sometimes takes forever to get a real answer, you seen those threads where it reaches hundreds of oages and most people simply do t want to read all of it. The ones that do post and are regulars are the hardcore hairloss sufferers with major mental issues. The idea about a subforum might be good, but it would need to be restricted to read only for regular members and read/write for certain few like me and Desmond.

An international scale initiative that spans across MANY areas versus two forums helping out one guy go to South Korea to get info is comparing apples to oranges. That's not really fair. The motive and objective are very different.

I'm totally aware. Serves them right for not doing their research. Would you blindly take a drug just because someone online told you to?

Thought not.

It's like the fools who blindly went to see mr nigam in India. With all the fake pictures and clearly obvious scam techniques people still blindly flew out to have him butcher their heads.

This is true too, even AFTER they were warned about india and vivek nigam along with snake oil crap, people STILL went ahead with dubious treatments. Did anyone read what happened to Wesley's procedure with Vivek Nigam? He had his grafts implanted UPSIDE DOWN which caused ingrown hairs of 2-4cm in length and infections along with cystic fibrosis structures which may not allow future FUE procedures.

Hair loss sufferers are DESPERATE for a treatment and will ignore even the best advice. This sh*t needs to stop and we BADLY need a cure right NOW. Dear god I hope Desmond can get some answers and information with ways to help us.

I am really not partial to any particular medium that might serve as vehicle to perpetuate awareness for the hair loss. Every creative idea can act as a catalyst for progressive change. If it's a matter of "beefing up" an already innovative oriented forum(HairLossTalk.com) by adding another facet to it , or whether it comes to fruition in the form of an independent website, Pinterest, twitter, etc., is not necessary important. I think that the culmination of putting together a strategy with team work and ambition is what we are mutually striving to accomplish. You know it wouldn't be so far fetched for a league of volunteers from HairLossTalk.com(ambassadors/spokespersons) who have been carefully primed and prepared with special information by mods. or a democratically assembled panel board to facilitate an outreach campaign of this sorts ( on behalf of HairLossTalk.com) in all these areas of communication. This multipronged, opportunistic method of networking makes complete sense.

Can you stop talking like you're on your last semester of Literature grad school. Just talk the way you speak, it's getting very annoying.

I hope Desmond gets some answers......I just want to know the reality of what's up.....No sugar coated bs.......These people have to stop playing games.....Im sick of it and about to snap......If no cure is coming or they can't figure it out just admit it......If there's no hope stop acting like there is......Or again I'm gonna snap and not leave evidence......Stop treading on me or find out what will happen.....Act like I'm joking.....This isnt a movie.....You can't rewind and exist again......

LOL.., I believe that you mean my posts ought to read( talk )the way that YOU speak(write) . That's never going to happen . If English is not your native language then I might sympathize with your "frustration" better. If my writing style should ever again compound your obvious agitated state, then for the good sake of preserving the integrity of future threads here, I recommend that you do everyone here a sensible favor and skip/ignore my posts. It's literally quite that elementary.

Good question. However the issue I think we are concerned about is not so much the established fact that our daily hair cycling or loss is part of the what is generally agreed to be merely our hair's natural growing habits, but rather in the case of M.P.B., the question that still lingers is what is it exactly that inhibits these lost hairs from re-growing or what distinguishes their behavior from the sufferer's apparently unaffected hairs? Every year it does seem research scientists are gaining a more solid hold on how the mechanism(s) for M.P.B. and it's downstream effects work, but sadly aside from a gracious event of serendipitous medical discovery (remember minoxidil?) the remainder of the puzzle to establish a cure or at least a more effective and safe preventative remains before us.

Damn man, looks like this is affecting you really bad. I have to admit that I do have my moments when I think I will snap. Don't do anything stupid that will regret. We are way way past the point of being tired of waiting. Maybe that be guy is right, if we don't get concrete answers on this conference, then we shall all go to the USA one and lock them up. We can have them in a tiny room, crammed together and get fed their own excrement until we receive some answers from those soulless badtards.
