Quit minoxidil 5% after 3 years

Same boat as OP, was on Minoxidil for what... 9 months? I only get some increased shedding on two occasions during this time (cycled sheds I guess) but with 0 regrowth. It made my hair sh*t, some of it changed color and I got exaggerated dark circles/bags under eyes.

Since quitting my hair feels A LOT better and my eyes have gotten back to where they should be.

Hi Yakitori, and when did the shed come again after u quit minoxidil and how long does it last? was it bad? they said we lose all the hair we gain from monoxidil once we quit. since we dont get grow any new hair from it i wonder what would happen?

I have yet to get a shed from quitting minoxidil. My hair has only gotten better after quitting. I'm not getting regrowth obviously (which I never did while on minoxidil) but my hair is sooo much healthier now. Minoxidil simply didn't work for it, possibly did harm to my hairline (at least skin).

What hair would I shed? Minoxidil didn't really do anything for me. If you get regrowth from it, sure, you will lose it, but for me it was snake oil. Smear sh*t into my hair that did nothing.
