UPDATE 2021:Hey guys , last post is an update+question.

Hi there , for the last few days I'm really stressed about my hair , I actually suffering from it , I feel pressure in the front of my head and I think that this is the reason ... I don't know if that's all in my head but I cant take it anymore and I need someone to tell me how bad is it .. I'm going 21 in may . I started using alpecin .. just to keep my hair as it is .. I don't think its should do any harm and btw if someone can please tell me how many time a week I should use it ?

okay so this is my hair .. I noticed that my left side is thinner in density than my right side .. is it normal ?
some of the pictures are with a buzz cut 2 months ago .. and the ones with the hair are from today .
if you need specific pictures to determine just tell me and I will upload them .. I really can't take this pressure anymore ... I'm afraid to lose my hair at a young age

For better comparison you might upload older pictures. Before the loss started.

I cant see much hairloss. I mean your hair is thick as f*** anywhere. Bit of recession, but nothing big imo.

I am 21 and started to notice I am balding when I was 19-20. I lost more than you. I actually look a bit like you lol. Also same natural hair thickness and color.

You should hop on treatment if you really care. Finasteride, Minoxidil, Nizoral/Ket shampoo...

May I tell you one thing: The next 5 years look very promising for us baldies. Keep your head up, we are lucky to live in this century.

Alpecin wont do much tho. Go ket oder nizoral.

and what do you mean the next 5 years look promising ? you mean there will be cure for this ? Ohh that would be amazing !
im already feel better cause now i kinda see that i always had that kind of hair and it didnt changed much .. I really hope there would be cure for that !!

I don't 'see' hair loss but that does not mean you don't have a receding hair line

Is your Dad bald/balding?

What is his pattern?

Did he just recede?

It's definitely classic male pattern.

You don't have density issues on top. Just the hairline. It's definitely receding. Especially
temples.

My thoughts exactly :) i dont think you lost much ground. Just keep an eye and make photos every other week/month for yourself to compare. I would still start ket or nizoral at least.

Cure? Unlikely. A cure kills a disease in its roots. But possibly very good treatments, which could be functioning as a cure. Especially if you have enough hair left. If you start loosing more, make sure you try to save the hair.

Remember: Its always easier to keep hair than regrowing it.

I don't know of any legitimate natural remedy

don't be afraid of minoxidil just don't do more than recommended.

Don't let pets anywhere near it--they don't have an enzyme in body to process it so it can kill pets

other than that its not dangerous unless you already have a health problem.

for most healthy people its harmless if followed directions.

I let fear mongering delay me using it.

Or just go consult with a Dr.

I don't see any hair loss.

I don't know why people get worried when they aren't even close to a NW3

its medication so handle it as you would medication

use the foam because it dries quickly.

when yu use it wash your hands..if you get any on counter just wipe it down

don't put it on their bodies or let them get where they can lick it.

Keep it stored away from them in a cabinet or out of reach of them

its not that huge a deal--its just if they do come into contact by licking it or absorbing it in skin it can kill them not right away but within 10 hours or so.

Don't let it scare you i have a pet i just take precautions..

I keep it away from him, i wash my hands and i wait until my hair feels dry before laying on pillows or couches.
which is not long

I did not want to scare you to put it in perspective only 4 known cases and it was all pretty extreme like they ingested it or in one case someone put it on their cats skin to make a bare spot grow fur and the cat died.

Just use precautions and its fine.

afaik, minoxidil is only a problem for cats, not pets in general?

OP, your hair has a ridiculous density (in a positive way). I would NOT mess with Minoxidil at this point. You do have a high hairline, though I can not tell how much it has receded since you were 17. It might be possible it is receding very slowly and in 15 years you are gonna be a Norwood 3 with the same density. Nobody knows, Finasteride would be your best option, but it isn´t organic at all.

He has a high hairline for a 20 years old and his temple points are very far back, though it appears it has always been like that.

you guys need to look closer. Look at the third picture. You can see quite a bit of scalp through the light. For someone of your ethnicity, I'm assuming similar to my own, with thick, corse black hair, this means diffused thinning. You have diffused thinning throughout the scalp.

EDIT - It's not bad AT ALL yet. but there is loss. It seems your hair line is receding a bit as well. consider meds.

The scalp in the third doesn´t look suspicious to me. The hair in that pic is very short and I see no pattern.

Well i hope that i will have Norwood 3 in 15 years and not in 3 haha .. and about the minoxidil , i guess that for now il just use orgainc things like aloe vera .. and shampoo with alpecin( i know its isnt organic but i already have 3 bottles ) for now i guess il just need to keep calm and hope for a better treatment in a few years .. and if il see the hair is getting worse i will start using stronger treatment like minoxidil etc ...

Aloe vera ain't going to do sh*t and why arent people helping this guy more? Its clear he has early signs of recession yet some of you 'dont see any loss'? Ha, okay.

Your hair still looks really good but speak to your Doctor about hopping on finasteride, then in 6 months/ 1 year, maybe minoxidil later on. You need finasteride to attack the root cause of male pattern baldness.
