I recently had a haircut and I think my retrograde have worsened. I also noticed some worsening on the hairline too. What do you think?

My actual regimen:

Dutasteride 0.5 mg every other day.
Oral minoxidil 3.5mg every day.
MSM 6g every day.

I'm attaching some pics I took on my peak result month and some pics I took today. First pic is from my 7 month taking the medication and the rest are from today (14 month taking the meds).

I honestly think dutasteride is causing you to appear to have retrograde alopecia. It's blocks DHT so your facial hair is going to be affected. Those areas close to your sideburns are considered facial hair as opposed to scalp hair. I bet if you stopped dutasteride those areas would get thicker. Do you have any photos of your sideburns and areas close to that pre-dutasteride? Or maybe you just don't grow great facial hair and it's going to infiltrate into those areas.

I have never had a good facial hair but I think my retrogade has worsened. I'll try to find another pic and post it.

I found a pic from 8 months ago when I was at my 5th month of dutasteride and oral minoxidil.

Looks like you have a little thinning at your temple and on the back and sides. I have thin back and sides too, it hides the thinning more when you have the back and sides grown out. I feel like thinning on the back and sides is nothing much to worry about compared to thinning on top.

You are right, but considering I'm on dutas and oral min I think it has become worse, and it was supposed to get better.

I think if you get back to this length it won't look any different. You had your haircut closer to your scalp in the current photos so it's not really a good comparison.

Dude It looks great. Today I got the worst haircut of my life and It's making me borderline suicidal. And that 5 months after the BEST cut of my life. I only get about 3 cuts per year due thinning. Since september 2019 I was keeping a (weak) fringe to make mops possible as I wanted to enjoy my frontal hair while I have It. Just trimmed It slightly as it's dying. Today the guy basically killed my frontal third as It won't really grow back. Overral a bad cut, It looks bad and made me look 15 years older.

Anyway, yes, you lost ground. Widow's peak and hairline thinning on one side. But maybe it's just a cycle.

I never go to the barber in case they do the same thing, every time I go, they cut way too much from my fringe and I look retarded after. I cut my own hair now

Yeahhh, it is what it is, I'm trying with the best treatment possible, without going insane, but if i lose it, well, at least I can say I've tried.

It doesn't even look like you're going bald at all. You're crazy taking all those strong drugs. My 2c.

Let me show you what was my baseline real quick. You can clearly see all the miniaturization on the frontal area.

It just looks normal to me. I mean, I'm not an expert, but if someone showed me that hairline I would say there is zero evidence of male pattern balding. The could be a young woman's hairline (and I'm not meaning to be offensive, just that young woman don't go bald). Hair is not a consistent thickness in every single spot. At least, not for most people.

Even if I'm wrong here, and that is male pattern baldness (and I don't think I am), I still wouldn't be taking all those strong drugs. My 2c. Do what you like, I'm not an doctor.

He's definitely balding, a change in density is one of the most obvious signs of male pattern baldness

That is simply not true.

Unless you think this little girl is also suffering from male pattern baldness (and her "thinning hairline" is much worse than his).

He just has a normal hairline. Which is not to say he will never go bald, but I don't see any evidence of it now.

This poster is just stressing himself out for no reason at all and would do well to stop examining his hair in micro-detail in the mirror and do something productive. My 2c.

I understand your point, but there are several signs that led me to think I have male pattern baldness. First of all, my hair was falling like crazy and it didn't use to be like that, every new hair was looking more and more miniaturized. After that, I wanted to make sure it was male pattern baldness because I'm not one of those who takes meds without talking with a doctor first, so I had an appointment with my trichologist. When he saw my hair, he didn´t even need the trichoscope to diagnose me from male pattern baldness but anyways he still used that thing to be sure it was male pattern baldness and not other form of Alopecia, so yes, it definitely is male pattern baldness. I would like it to be like you say, but unfortunately, the reality is a whole different story.

Okay well fair enough I'm not a doctor.

All I can say is that if I had hair like yours I wouldn't be worrying for a second, no matter what a doctor said. And if I saw a guy on the street with your hair I wouldn't even consider that he was going bald. Your hair looks thick and healthy.

I dont mean to belittle it or anything. I know it can be traumatic, but I seriously wouldn't worry if I were you and I certainly wouldn't take systematic drugs that mess up your hormones. DHT is important hormone for muscle growth and I guarantee 99% of girls are more impressed with a nice physique than hair that you can't tell is balding when examined under a microscope.

It is ok, I am still able to growth muscle, in fact I had my best body shape back in may when I started to work out, and I already was on dutasteride for like 7 month or so, but I stopped working out recently because I'm having some ferritin issues, which I used to have even before taking these drugs, just in case anyone thinks it is linked to the drugs or something like that.
