I don't blame you, topicals are such a pain. Right now my hair must be going thru a shed or my male pattern baldness is accelerating again because its not looking as thick as it did a year ago. And I don't like having female pattern balding. I think it looks worse thinning down the middle than just having your temples recede and having a nice thick forelock.

Im not thinning yet, doesn't mean that I won't do, I think my hairloss pattern is following Jude Laws one. I am half your age Dr House ;)!

I agree, thinning must be terrible, at least with thick hair you can have some weird quirky style when it is grown out, with that said I don't think a receeded hairline is very attractive either, for exactly that reason - looks assymetrical with a big triangle on your head. It looks like there is hair missing.

Norwood 1.5 possibly approaching a mature hairline

Oknow, minoxidil works well for the hairline in my experience. My hair looked like your at 23/24 and minoxidil definetelly grew and thickened a few of those hairs even in bald temple area's.

How long did it maintain for?

If you are thinning on top, does this mean I need to use propecia afterwards?

I used it for about four and a half months but then ran out and couldnt afford to get anymore. I was in a lot of debt you see, which i've only recently come out of. Im going to order some more in a couple of weeks.

The angle is a bit sharp for a mature hairline. Besides, isn't a mature hairline technically balding?

Going bald is a sign of hairloss, but not all hairloss is a sign of going bald. You can stop at receeded temples, or hairline or stop at nw3 and progress no further or your hairloss might not be programmed to stop until you are NW7. The problem is there is no way to tell which one you are. male pattern baldness is usually progressive but for some it only goes to a certain point and then stops for some reason. Everyone is different. :dunno:
