I think it’s pretty obvious why they’re doing this. They b**ch around waiting for aggressive responses that confirms they are wrong. This gives them hope or at least makes them feel more like being wrong.

Replicel isnt a big company , more like a startup who just had an idea . Sisheido liked the idea , bought the rights for asia commercialisation and is running trials . If this works or not doesnt have anything to do with replicel's company status

The fact that Shiseido bought rights really isn’t as significant as many of you make it sound. Look at PRP. Laser helmets. There’s plenty of things out that have legitimacy surrounding them and that doesn’t stop the treatments themselves from being extremely lackluster.

It’s funny that in his mind a large company purchasing rights to the treatment (based specifically off phase 1 data most of which we never got information regarding), building facilities, and running costly trials is nothing compared to how a company that developed an idea, but didn’t have the money to pursue trials acts on Twitter...

So, the way I read it, basically they opened an office in an existing Japanese biomedical corporate park (Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster), where they will research and develop hair regeneration generally, not just the Replicel tech. It sounds pretty broad and not really as grandiose as many of you make it sound.

My impression of the RCH-01 technology is that it’s pretty straightforward - extract the cells from the safe zone, inject them into the balding areas. I’m not sure how a facility is necessary other than housing the cellular material.

The thing is that a company decided to invest in it , running 2 trials definitely costs millions so it has good chances to work to an extent .
Does that mean it will definitely be good for hairloss ? no .It might do nothing .Does anyone here know if it will be good ? No.

You’re right, the facility they mention is not solely for RCH-01, it’s for hair regeneration research in general. Actually, RCH-01 is one of the most simple treatments being developed out there, and hence, it’s just a delivery method/device and nothing special.
However, buying rights + dedicating for hair loss research by assigning a building, or an office or whatever you call it = too much money spent for “we have a feeling that we’ll succeed.”
Again, I have seen some interviews of researchers on hairloss, and I could clearly tell that they understand their customers. Hairloss sufferers have been let down on many occasions for decades. Do you think they don’t realize that? Or they believe you will settle for an “ok” treatment with %8 %10 bullshit? I don’t claim this to be necessary the case, but I believe so.

Bizarre thought just occurred to me. We have so many of these threads going and for so long in anticipation of treatment, I wonder if we could become so preoccupied yakking about all of it, then somehow suddenly realize a cure came out months ago while we were mentally masturbating here. How 'bout this, if something comes out, Replicel, Breezula, Tsuji, any of the most anticipated, non-bullshit treatments, where we can walk in and just get it done this year, I'll buy the first 50 people on this forum a beer at my favorite pub.
