I have no complaints. Number of hairs fall out per day has decreased since starting and my hair has not got any worse since starting.

Are you on finasteride or minoxidil?? How long was that, i've head it's normal to lose few hairs when you start keto shampoo.

I replied to your PM but not sure if it sent so let me know if you didn't get it...

I'd guess that it's more likely that when you started Revita was just bad timing as it corresponded with your finasteride shed (Which is normal) - Revita is only a shampoo after all, and I didn't get any shedding after the 2nd day (If that was a shed) and I'm not on finasteride (yet). However, it does say on the bottle you may get increased shedding for the first two weeks so I say give it that time and see what happens after that.

Is your scalp irritated? If you were allergic/sensitive to something in Revita and it caused irritation it may be causing increased shedding.

But since the new formula's come out, I don't think anyone's mentioned excessive shedding which couldn't be attributed to a finasteride shed. e.g. I'm not using finasteride and never had much of a shed except for the first two days. And since then I'm certain shedding has decreased since before I started Revita. And my hair just feels healthier overall.

I'm seriously doubting the ability of Revita shampoo to cause a shed, guess i'll have to buy it and try it. It's the best way.

Re: Revita (This SHEDDING is Freaking Me Out)

I am 25 years old and have a gradually receding hairline around the temples and thinning hair for about the past two years, but I've been wary of getting propecia because of the health risks, and I thought about Rogaine Foam, but I heard that it it smelled and led to shedding, among other things. Since I'm trying to hang on to everything I have left, I didnt not want to take the risk of incurring significant shedding with Rogaine, as well as no promise I'd grow any hair back around my temples or forehead, I did nothing but occasionally browse message boards until I came across information on Revita. It seemed like just what I was looking for; a shampoo that would at least reduce hair loss/thining. Well, I started using Revita about 5 weeks ago, and the first time I used it, leaving it on my hair for 2.5 minutes, then approx. 4 minutes, and my hair seemed a little thinner, but shinier. The next day I got a haircut so my hair was a little shorter and I continued using Revita 5-6 days a week, for the prescribed times, and I've noticed I've shed a couple 1-4 hairs just about every time I use it. This has been exceedingly disturbing, but I'm not sure if it's just something that has to happen before it starts working better . . . I don't know. My theory - the reason I'm still using it - is that the hairs that are shedding are the ones closet to my forehead and temples and these are the real light hairs that already seemed on the verge of falling off. So I'm thinking that maybe just keeping the shampoo in the hair for so long and then rinsing it out is causing the weaker hairs to come off b/c of the contact. I'm hoping it's just the weak hairs that will shed and the healthier hairs will become even healthier. But so far, I've seen none of the benefits promised by the company. I'm going to try and email them and see what they have to say about this.
Does anybody have any theories?
Any advice on good products?
If my hair doesn't stop shedding by the time I'm done with this bottle, there's no way I'll be getting another. By then, I hope it's not too late, I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to the point of no return.

Thanks

You shed couple 1-4 hairs??? Shedding 4 hairs per shower is nothing. A healthy person is supposed to lose about 100 hairs a day, so 4 is just nothing.... Hair grows in cycles, you lose 100 today but you get 100 new hairs tomorrow. The problem arises when the new hair doesn't grow like the old ones, ie miniaturisation or thinning.

Your problem is that you are paying too much attention to your hair and even something that is normal plays in your mind. Don't let it get to you. You are lucky that you have a normal shed.

I'm in the same situation, I have a minimal shed but that doesn't mean I'm not thinning. Gradually over the years, the new hair strands have gone weaker and weaker. It's a very slow process. It's the same with the treatments, they will be extremely slow as well.
