...so i get it and open the booklet and it says you can't wash your hair for four hours after applying!! WTF???

yes so? Obviously you are new to hairloss treatments if that is your biggest complaint.

if you have any hair on your head, it's impossible to not get most of it in your hair, and it dries so fast it's hard to rub it in thoroughly enough.

please tell me you are joking because then and only then can I take your response seriously.

on top of that it still leaves the same flaky white residue that looks like dandruff.

no it doesn't
no i'm not new to hairloss treatment. as i stated if you had quoted the entire first sentence, i bought the foam because everyone said that it offered that specific improvement over the liquid. ...which it did not.

i've gotten better at getting a good enough treatment rubbed into my head, but only at the expense of getting tons of it in my hair. the stuff in my hair dries and becomes the flaky residue. ...it's not as bad as the liquid, but i still have to spend about the same amount of time picking it out before i go to work in the morning.

why do you have to get so snippy? do you work for rogaine or something? the point of the forum is so people can hear what other people have to say about these products. everyone talks like the foam solved every annoyance of using rogaine, and in my opinion it really hasn't.

goingbald18 do not spread on your hand. Get the foam onto your head as fast as possible. The more time the foam remains on your hand, the more your hands will be absorbing.

Additionaly, I don't use eaxctly half a capful. This is meant as a guide, not an exact measurement. Some guys on this forum are paraniod about using just the right amount of minoxidil, as if 0.8ml or 1ml or 1.2 ml will have any significant impact on your results. Personally I don't think the difference of 0.2ml will have that much affect.

I generally apply enough to ensure that some foam has been applied to all of my worst area. Considering that one can last approx 1.5 months I figure I am not using too much.

I don't use any dosage at all, I'll just spray it directly onto my head and rub it in.

I tend to spray thin lines in a parallel fashion across the top of the head from where my hairline used to be to the crown, and then massage it in after each 'line' application of foam.
You just have to press gently on the nozzle for slow release.

I have been using the Rogaine foam for two weeks and can tell you it is excellent.

It is easy to apply, doubles as a great styling aid (making a.m. routine WAY easier), leaves hair thicker (as in a hair thickening mousse) and smells great.

It does NOT leave your hair greasy (a la propylene glycol).

I am SOLD.

WTF??... lol... now this post is damn funny...

Who the f*** cares if its easier to apply and that it doesn't leave your hair greasy.... WTF??? are you kidding us??

WHAT WE WANT IS TO REGROW HAIR... not to style our hair...

And you are never saying if it regrows hair or not..

Just wonder if this foam works better than the original rogaine. Original rogaine is very similar to a snake oil. Just grows some vellus hairs and make people have "Hope" and keep buying the product based on their hope created after seeing shitty vellus hairs. I hope this foam sh*t works better than original, because i got a 4 pack of it.

well for us that used rogain earlier, and for a long time, and had regrowth and not 5 mm long hair, its a bott bothering to wait 1 hour eatch morning before going fixing youre hair and going to school/work. And even if it helped us keep our hair it made the hair look greecy and shitty. So yes the foam is pretty greate for us long term users.

I've grown terminal hair with Rogaine, not foam, but liquid minoxidil. It is not a snake oil, though it is slow, messy and a pain in the *** to apply. I've switched to the foam mainly to cut down the drying time.

I'd recommend minoxidil to anyone - just don't expect any outright miracles and don't get into the habit of missing applications.

Mine arrived today, I was going to wait but couldn't help myself so started this morning, I discovered that 1/2 a capful is not going to be enough, also I decided just to apply it to the front of my head otherwise I'd get through a can a week.. It smells nice and is easy enough to apply, I'm sure I'm getting most of it in my hair though.. anyway.. onwards and upwards.

UK78 you dont need more then half a capfull it dosent seem like much but its enough ,the point of applying is to push it through the hair with cold fingers because it melts when it makes contact with something warm liker fingers or your scalp and unlike your hair after you pushed it through the hair onto the scalp it melts and becomes liquid on the scalp and thenyou use you fingers to massage and spread it around the scalp
its easy it takesa week to get good at it though
id reconmend against using more the 1ml because it does have side effeccts too ,this sh*t is really good i gotta say

I'm sure I'll get sick of it but I'm pleasantly suprised that it smells like hair styling mousse instead of medication.
