Sometimes when i look at myself in the mirror i take my glasses off so i see a blurry version of myself so I don't have to deal with the recession and diffuse thinning and I'm 24. Hopefully new treatments come out in the next few years otherwise I'm fucked.

I never look in a mirror or take pics

I just glance at lower face to make sure no bleeding after shaving

Funny that this news was echoed in the most important online newspaper in Italy (corriere) with an accent on the chemo hairloss idiocy.

The second version of the news changed and the accent is no more on the hair thing. I wonder if someone with a modicum of sensitivity told the journalist to change the focus from the "unacceptable" hair loss because it was offensive to the cancer patients who do NOT think hair loss is the worst aspect of the illness, and are actually dying...

My dad said the same thing yesterday, recently diagnosed with cancer and he said to me "I'm not sure about chemo I don't want to lose my hair, guess I'll just wear a cap everywhere." He's 62, and hair still f*****g matters to him. He knows he'll have to be a hat prisoner.

1. Yea he actually is aware, last summer he pointed it out to me "you're 23 and you're bald?" As if a 23 year old shouldn't be bald yet. I actually gave him some of my minoxidil to use, he then bought more.

2. He is, just an identity thing for him since he's got some long hair and doesn't want to lose it even if it's temporary.
