Hi guys,

Im 21 and have recently been experiences some slow temple recession and a dry scalp. I will post photos in another thread.

Today I had my haircut, however the barber was really rough with my hair. He pulled it, constantly scraped it back with a comb and then blow dried it at a very high heat. My scalp has become very flaky and dry and I feel like it has made my hair loss much worse. He seems to have pulled more hair out of the temples and made my hair feel very vulnerable. Will the damage/ hair he pulled out resolve?

i have an appointment with a derm next week for my dry scalp/hairloss where I will hopefully get a prescription for finasteride. Has anyone else experiences a traumatic haircut?

Thanks for replies...

Maybe I'll look in to getting some clippers and test them out. I don't usually go to this particular place to get it cut it's only because it's 2 mins away from work.

I have gotten plenty of ****ty haircuts in my time. Now I just do it myself. At least if I eff it up I can take comfort in the fact that it was free.

I HATE going to the barber. The guy just wets my hair and shows off my Gigantic forehead and comments on me losing it so early.
Then its the natural ayurveda advice raining.
Then he cracks some old wives tales like "Huge forehead means better manhood and wealth"
And the whole time i try to smile and act nicebut inside em like:-
Dafuq man just cut it and ill go my way.
Ill just be cutting it short and start some lifting. Hope i get my facial features out more.
