I suffer a bit from "brain fog" but that could as well come from finasteride and a stressful job. However, no erectile dysfunction besides watery semen which is probably caused by finasteride (not made better by RU) as that problem began as soon as I got on finasteride.

Nope. But I did have hot flashes at night and some brain fog too at a extreme dosage (200-250mg a day). Typical anti androgenic side effects.
No sides at 50mg a day though.
No idea, since I have just restarted minoxidil and Finasteride a few months ago and added dutasteride the same time I started RU. So, since adding dutasteride and RU my shedding has decreased significantly, not sure how much this is the result of RU.

Yep, I restarted Finasteride and minoxidil at the same time and had a brutal shed. I added dutasteride and RU because I couldn´t afford to lose any further ground. They say you should add treatments one by one in order to know what works, but I think, when you need regrowth it might be better to start with the big guns and then slowly drop treatments one by one if you are pleased with the results. Though I doubt I am ever gonna get that far.....

Having sheds is a normal process. Anything that fluctuates the hormones tends to cause a shed. Not to confuse between shed and hairloss. I think the vast majority of the naysayers are the same ones that panicked and quit the treatment. I still find that one has to give at least 6 months but preferably 1 year before passing judgement.
I had a friend who linked a study, a credible one, that showed that finas+dutas had better results then either one alone.
Do you have the study? I read something similiar, but only with one person I think (not really a study then.....). Fact is I need regrowth and since the loss was rather fast and recent I thought I might tackle my hair with anything possible now and not in a few months.
By googling it I was never able to find it. I had it on another forum but that forum is gone now. Honestly I doubt finasteride+dutasteride would result in much regrowth. I did have some great success with the big 3 and then 10 years later when there was more regression I changed 5% minoxidil to 15%, that gave me a second life. Again I think we have excellent preventative treatments but very poor regrowth treatment for now. I mean all we have is minoxidil. I think eventually I might need to have a small FUE of 1000 follicles or so.
What is DUPA and why does it prevent you from getting a transplant?
I think that if you haven't lost hair too long ago it can be "salvageble". I suppose in theory that, hair that has minituarized can be saved with mainly fina/duta + minoxidil. However if a follicle is long "dead" nothing can save it. One can always debate if the follicle actually dies. I have yet to see anyone who is completely bald, for numerous years, be a good respondent to finasteride+minoxidil. But honestly if you've already been on finasteride OR dutasteride then the combo finasteride AND dutasteride will not do much in terms of regrowth. If you just started using the combo and as I mentioned, IMO, recently started to lose hair you might respond well and regain a lot of hair. If you've been losing your hair for sometime now and are already using dutasteride or finasteride for sometime................I really doubt the combo will have a tangible effect.
DUPA = Diffuse UnPatterned Alopecia. I am basically thinning all over my head, which means also my donor is miniaturized and therefore cannot be used for transplant. At the moment, my main concern is my hairline/temple points. After 10 years II neglected treatment and lost lots of hair in 2016. So I don´t know whether my follicles are really dead or not. I just hope to get a lot of it back, even though my frontal area is very thin without many visible hairs in between. I also doubt it is gonna have a huge effect, but in the end at least I tried......
Oh ok. I really don't know much about DUPA. Im not even sure the causes are the same and by extension the treatment.

I think so yeah eventually. Would be really cool if it would hit a lower point.
If it would be $100 the price would come down to $0.50 a day or $15 a month at a 50mg dosage. That would be really nice.
