I find all this fascinating and the slow move towards a scientific approach is fantastic, as already stated mines been a bit of try everything.
So here are some random thoughts and suggestions as I now begin to apply a scientific approach. (most of the lazy people here will never read this again once we get past page 85 and this is probably the reason they're bald, their hair can't be arsed to grow)
I'm taking this approach now as for the first time in 3 months, I believe there are new thick, dark brown hairs emerging, not many, but enough to warrant a little optimism.
My massive bald spot had definitely become less populated with hair since '
Start
Hair
Improvement
Transformation' - if only there was an acronym for this.... anyway. Like the remedies, my photographs were also inconsistent and inconclusive.
So after a couple of days of using an E45 cream mix, I realised that all of my main methods will result in a considerable variation of how much Sandalore actually ends up in the right place:
Oil-based concoctions - Till now, this has been my prefered approach but the effect is rather greasy and makes thinning hair look even thinner (might apply to my waistline). But over the last week, I had been applying via a small spray bottle (coincidence that new hairs showing now?).
Coconut cream - easy to mix, keep with you and most pleasant to apply, but so little is needed as it stays on the surface that I doubt much Sandalore ends up in the right place to do its stuff.
Shampoos - pretty obvious really, and knew it at the time but clearly, most Sandalore must up down the plughole. But I find my DIY shampoos rather pleasant and it was more of a case, what harm can it do.
So here's what I am going to do from February 2019:
I will continue with the natural supplements and avoid all the commercial hair growth products.
I will still use a combination of my own DIY shampoos and off the shelf caffeine ones.
I will stick with 0.5% sandalore in applications of my own design and perhaps similar to others here (periods and approach to be decided)
The main application will be before bed and washed off in the shower the next day.
I will diarise my applications (not my strong point but will try).
Technically, my bald spot could allow for a half and half approach.
But here's the important one, I have found a way to take consistent photos and will improve on it the first chance I get - I have the Samsung S9, so the photos are pretty awesome. Using 2 rolls of scotch tape and the camera placed on top, I believe I can get steady (no blur) and consistent photos of my ozone copying bald area.
The truth is no one here knows whether we are on a fools errand or how much of the results we see are because of the Sandalore or the many other factors that can influence hair.
