I use it every night before going to sleep.I wash itib the morning. In the past I tried to taper it's use but the crusting will start again.
No it doesn't contain salicylic acid. I use a shampoo combination of coal tar and salicylic acid 2 times a week in the morning.
My morning schedule is.
Mon-keto
Tue-selsun
Wed-coal tar-salicylic acid
Thurs-keto
Fri-selsun
Sat-coal tar-salicylic acid
Sun-keto
I read somewhere on reddit to rotate the different shampoos so the malassezia fungus cant adapt to either one.
So far it works well
If I used keto this much my scalp would be drier than the Atacama

I don't use the 2% on regular basic, only for emergency breakouts. There are shampoos with 1% which are easier on the scalp.
Last Thursday I bought a no-name shampoo that in its bottle said it was herbal made. According to the description, it contains rosemary and other natural ingredients. It wasn't that expensive, but my scalp hasn't itched ever since I first used that day. Of course if I sweat a lot and wait too much for washing my hair I'll get an itch here and there, but nothing compared to the discomfort I felt before.

It has sulfates in it I guess, but well, I will stick with for the whole month so I can really say whether it has helped or not.

at night use a corticosteroid lotion (betamethasone dipropionate).
Hi friend, I got the Diprobate Plus cream, applied it before sleep, and woke up itching after 5 hours. Does it suppose to itch more with the cream than without it? Are you using the lotion or the cream? Do you think using the cream it is the reason for the itchiness?

I'm using the lotion. If u have scratched it or have some sort of breach in the epidermis it stings and itches.
Try to be gentle to your skin and maybe use the lotion. It has happened to me, but still consult a dermatologist. I can only tell u my experience

Hi, I used both lotion and cream for 3 weeks now. I feel they only relief a bit - I need to apply them again after approximately 4-6 hours. First I wash (only with water) from the residual cream/lotion (it's kind of gel actually) and dry the hair , then apply again... and still I get itchiness in between and see red bumps here and there.
I'm thinking of going on a temporary oral anti-fungal treatment. I experience this inflammation usually two times a year (after a heartburn or too much oily food) - each episode lasts 3-4 months (too long, after I loss lots of hair).

I'm trying, unfortunately physicians here play only by the book, they won't give dutas or aldactone prescriptions, for example). They rather leave me no choice but to test on myself drugs without sufficient instructions. (like I did with aldactone, got me unfortunatelly to E.R , just then I got the Info that I have to drink less and ingest more sodium. since then I use it 5 years without problems).

I think it's more of a hormonal problem. Nutrition, supplements can't cure it. Abstinence can alleviate this ailment, but again, not cure. Androgenetic alopecia is part of the mechanism or basis, if we find the root, we will be able to cure both problems.
