Cloudy means it isn't dissolving completely. What vehicle are you using and at what concentration?
I was using dmso, ethanol, and PG. It remained cloudy.

So rick grimes, you are just adding the dmi to the seti first, then after that putting the minoxidil in? And this gives you a totally transparent solution? sh*t looks like i need some dmi

Yep, that's it... The exact procedure is a few posts back, but that's it... I've also dissolved it in eth+DMI+polysorbate80+DMSO and that works... Either way it seems to precipitate out of solution after about 80 hours so small batches FTW

anything new?

I've been using seti for ~8 months now. New thick hairs popping below hairline. And my diffused hair a lot better infront.
My balding spot on top has hardly changed, maybe got a tiny bit better thanks to hair around it.

Overall, it works, but very very very slow. I hope balding spot on top starts responding as well as front areas.
I'm also doing dermarolling and LiCl weekly. My hair seems to get thinner if i stop it. Hope this helps.

The concentration people are using isn't as high as it is in the trials so it's hard to tell.

Oral or topical ? What vehicle and dose?

Topical at around 3%.
Vehicle: 50% ethanol, 30% polysorbate 80, 20% Dimethyl Isosorbide (DMI) and just a drop of DMSO.

30% polysorbate is kinda too much since i apply on my whole head, so i use maybe 20%.

I like that they're directly comparing this against finasteride. If it at least matches or outperforms, that erases a lot of doubt, and boom, there's a case to bring it to market. If it's only so-so...oh well they tried.

Anybody want to join trials?

They might also want a quantitative comparison of side effects. In some jurisdictions, to release a drug you have to demonstrate that you drug is better than existing better.

If setipiprant has less effectiveness than finasteride, but also fewer side effects, it will have earned its market share.

Can somebody enlighten me what polysorbate 80 is doing? My seti dissolves nicely in DMI and stays stable for 48 to 72 hours. It didn t seem super effective until now though.

I think it helps absorption.
Ethanol evaporates in seconds, and leaves my hair really dry. Poly 80, depending concentration in vehicle, leaves it either normal or very oily.

Thank you for the answer, i just read it now. Ordered one litre of prophyleneglycole last week. I suppose it will do the job. :)

yeah in my experience, the eth+DMI+polysorbate80+DMSO stays very moist throughout the night... i think that is mostly the Polysorbate 80.. so i am guessing the fact that it never dries out must help with absorption, in addition to the other absorptive actions of DMI and DMSO... its worth noting perhaps, when i mix seti with minoxidil and a bit of DMI, it takes almost twice as long to dry, but still dries a lot faster than the eth+DMI+polysorbate80+DMSO vehicle...the so i know the DMI also contributes to the vehicle staying wetter/oilier longer but probably not neary as much as the polysorbate80... so for me, the eth+DMI+polysorbate80+DMSO mix is a bedtime thing vesus a morning thing, but i guess it depends on your situation... the minoxidil+DMI+seti dries out in enough time your hair doesn't look super oily at work... i bet you could do eth+DMI+seti to get a formula that would mix the seti but still dry in a reasonable time if you are doing seti twice a day like i am but didn't want the minoxidil

What ratios are you using for the vehicle? I recently started using polysorbate 80 and it is greasy as hell. Makes my hair look terrible.

How long until this officially comes out? I read years ago they had thousands of patients in many studies for this class of drugs already which would speed up this approval. How much more needs to be done to prove its safe? The time lines on this stuff is just ridiculous. Too bad we arent vampires that live 200 years
