I have been reading through this forum and am not sure the process of making and mixing the CB with the vehicle and what equipment I need. I am planning on getting CB from kane, but want to make sure I do it right. Can anyone help with this?
I don't have very much experience with this stuff but I'll describe what I do. This is for the eth/pg/transcutol vehicle:
1) Preparing delivery vehicle
You need container made of chemically-inert material which will hold the solution. I'm using PTFE container, but soda-lime glass (most typical type of glass) should be fine AFAIK. I don't think you need more resistant glass like Borosilicate glass (but I'm not a chemist so I'm not sure. You can always try to look at chemical compatibility tables).
You also need something to measure liquids. I'm using 1ml Pasteur pipettes. Syringes should also be fine. Then you just extract proper amounts depending on proportions and total amount that you need and put it in the container which holds the solution.
Also, I use smaller containers which contain vehicle substrates (to avoid using bigger containers all the time - for convenience and to avoid contaimination). I'm storing propylene glycol and transcutol in small HDPE (type of plastic) container. Ethanol in glass container.
2) Measuring CB
You need scale with high granularity (like 0.001g)
I bought such one:
https://allegro.pl/oferta/mini-waga-jubilerska-precyzyjna-0-001g-20g-crystal-7241749059
Its precision seems to be fine (1 ml of 95% ethanol showed its weight as 810 mg which is just about right and weight of each drop was quite consistent). Same with water - 1ml of water showed 1000 mg and again weight of individual drops were quite consistent. I think it's very good and easy way of checking if your scale is reliable.
You also need a little spoon. I already had 0.5 ml one but it was too big for me so I bought 0.05 ml. Flat 0.05 ml spoon is about 15-20mg of CB (but I always used scale to be sure because it's very easy to take more than that).
Once proper amount of CB is measured you just drop it to the solution. Mix/shake until it's completely dissolved.
3) Applying to the scalp
I'm using 1ml pipette, You can also use dropper. Maybe also spray could be fine but I didn't try it
4) Storing CB
I store it in plastic ziplock bag which is contained in aluminium bag (to avoid moist getting in). I keep it in the freezer.
Also, I suggest to divide CB to at least 2 bags. First one is used to store main part of CB and should only be used to pour some amount of CB occasionally to the second one. The second one should be used for getting proper amounts of CB. This is to avoid contamination of the main container.
