he said that since this is happening from returning from vacation hes leaning towards telogen effluivum but IDK ANYMORE. its all i think about and im in college and its kiling me. i have long hair so no one could even guess and idk. my sister/friends are saying im stupid and losing my mind but idk really .

im leaning towards that my hair got damaged as sh*t over there and im thinkin bout just cutting it all and getting short hair but i look so awful with short hair cuz i have bigger ears and you could see the bald spots more then.

if you could post pics of your hair we might be able to tell you more...

Plus, did you JUST start losing hair out of nowhere or have you been thinning/ or even receeding for a little while?

-propecia works really well, if youve noticed even a little hairloss over the past few years besides this recent burst of loss chances are you've lost more than you think

-for instance, I didnt really notice i was thinning until 2 or so years ago. It seemed like i had super thick hair for quite awhile then over the course of a few months it just went to hell and it became very noticeable. I blamed stress and other things but the fact is i was slowly losing my hair for a few years and it just picked up all of the sudden, i got on propecia and it really helped, two years later my hair looks a lot better still

Post pics though and we'll get a better idea

Steady the horses..... :innocent:

As above, without even showing us a decent photo, no one should even tell you to go on propecia. For one thing, we don't even know if either side of your family have male pattern baldness.

Worse still, you told us that you dyed your hair blonde and after coming back from holiday, the hair has become thin? Or do you have patches of missing hair?

Third, you have seen a dermatologist and they have suggest to use something else.

If you are really worried, get a second opinion.

It is really difficult to even say what caused the thinning. Get another opinion and try out the treatment from the dermatologist first.

i have patches of hair loss on the left side . hmm no family history of balding, all my family has great hair so its kinda embarrasing.

i dyed my hair blonde before i went on vacation , and alot of my hair is damaged.

well the dermatologist didnt really give me a treatment, he said just be patient and wait it out. he said theres no treatment for telo.

i will post pics soon
