Well in my 24 years of life id definitely say yes, hairloss has had the biggest impact on my life more so than anything else ive faced so far. TBH if my asthma didnt go into remission when i was 15 id say asthma wouldve been the hardest thing to deal with considering how brutal i had it. But so far, yes, hairloss is on my mind EVERY SINGLE f*****g DAY, to the point where its replaced alot of the other sh*t i used to do on my spare time. The worst part is, i think alot of us would've found peace if we really had NO alternatives to it, the big 3 is a gift and a curse in itself for me personally, it brought me to the point of where idk if im keeping my hair or losing it, the constant uncertainty is what really irritates me.

that's good you got through it. i remember when i first moved to michigan that's when i first started having hair loss issues. i had trouble sleeping too. i would lie in bed and have panic attacks at 4am and would just stay in the bathroom staring at myself in the mirror.

you working at Umich? i got my degree from EMU but i'm living down in oklahoma now. i really miss michigan and would love to come back some day.

how is your norwood btw? are you maintaining on meds?

Yeah, I work at Umich.

You should consider coming back.

I am NW5 on my crown but I am maintaining. My hairline is NW2 though which is weird as my crown is crap. However, my crown is not slick bald. Ever since I started minoxidil, my crown area has gotten better. But it is exhausting. As you mentioned about your panic attacks, I do have them too. I am just so depressed and stressed out. I left a meeting early today as I just could not take it anymore. Thankfully, my boss is great. God bless him! No other boss would be so nice and accommodating. He treats me like his friend.

I do not even know how will I get by in life.

thinning crown but not slick bald huh? and nw2 hair line. sounds like you can still pull off a short hair look and pass for a relative full head in most people's eyes. maintenance is good.

I would say yes

I also went through a lot of other stuff ( everyone in life has hard times). I've struggled with anxiety , depression and having no friends / social isolation for years . But like some others have mentioned , those are things that can be fixed while hairloss cannot. Hairloss is slowly ruining my life. I cope everyday by telling myself that cures will come out and finasteride will maintain my hair. I know that may not be the case , but I try to live my life the best now and not dwell on it
