So what happened to all these people

It's almost 2025 for heaven's sake. What happened to all the big names we use to hear about 15-20 years ago. People like Cotsarelis, Washenick, Christiano, etc.. They were all so passionate about finding a final solution to hair loss/baldness. Did they fall of the edge of the Earth? Did someone hand them a large check under the table? The fact that we are in a time of near AGI/Quantum computers and still using drugs found by accident to help hair loss from the 80s and 90s is just nuts!!

Probably bald and don't care anymore / have more important problems. Most guys 40+ that I see in my day to day life have some sort of hair loss. The expectation of hair loss meds / transplants should be that you maintain an acceptable look until your 40s.

Washenick is with Bosley and seems increasingly optimistic regarding cloning/multiplication. However, if you read between the lines, he acknowledges that treatments forthcoming from Amplifica will likely be available first.

Cotsarelis remains involved in research but is still a practicing clinician from what I can see.

Christiano has always seemed more focused on alopecia areata than Androgenetic Alopecia IMHO.
