So after taking my first finasteride pill i noticed that the next day i had decreased prejaculation amount and how far i could ejaculate.Like i remember shooting myself in the damn face and now it just flows down -_-.Im confused how this happened only after 1 day of taking .25 mg of finasteride... Should i stop or keep taking it.Any help would be great.

Those side effects might subside with continued usage and they might not. Some guys are fine with those if that's the tradeoff to keep their hair. I had similar sides after 1 day of use and in the clinical trials there were also 1st day side effects, so it's not all in your head. You'll have to decide if you're willing to risk it. Permanent side effects are very rare but they are real.
did ur sides go away with continued use or did u have to get off?

I quit the very first day lol. My thinking was that I was willing to take finasteride if I experienced no side effects, as is the case with most men. But the thought of developing permanent sides was too scary and I discontinued. Some would say I should have powered through but again, I didn't think the potential of developing permanent sides was worth keeping my hair. My side effects went away about 2 days later. Unfortunately there's no surefire way to know if you'll develop sides or if they'll be permanent. It's going to be up to your personal risk management.
did you experience the same side effect as me.Like everything works and i have libido but im not horny 24/7.Maybe i should jus power thru

Same sides. I also had an uptick in anxiety but that could have just been me being neurotic about sides. I felt a slight reduction in libido. Like if I worked myself up to it I could get horny and I had no ED but I wasn't passively attracted to women in the same way. From what I've read online a lot of finasteride users describe this change but attribute it to aging. I don't think it's super clear whether or not aging is the culprit, and that grey area worried me enough to quit.
This is probably not the case. Most just except the low libido, reduced ejaculate and ball ache.
It’s finasteride, you knew this was possible, even at a much lower dose than 0.25 - it’s pretty much the same as 1mg.
Yea i dont feel passively attracted anymore like i use too..I took it for 4 days then got off of it for a week and felt the same as i was on it i still get morning wood and stuff.Ill think ill take it for a while and if it continues ill prob switch to topical finasteride or jus wait for breezula.
true but i heard the side effects go away after a while..there not bad right now but i just like its different then before finasteride..

idk ab tha.. all i said was before i use to shoot my face now its like a runny nose.feels mostly the same.i was jus wondering if it will return back to how it was after a couple months of continuing bc i heard people say that studies show side effects go away with continued use
Yeah they say your body “adjusts”. I kind of doubt that. If you’re experiencing sides after one day that’s probably your body trying to tell you something isn’t right. Nobody on here can tell you what will happen to you. You either continue or quit but finasteride is a massive gamble. You can end up losing a lot more than hair.

Will liked those odds but eh, he didn't care if it made his dick 12 inches long which is ridiculous and yuck. Chicks don't care about your tumescence and if they do, they will give you a v**** from out of their purse plus 50 cents so you can buy a kid's size soda to slurp and make male noises. You're probably one of the many people who are bad responders to Finasteride. Fortunately for you, you've experienced it on Day 1 and it's still early to get off before the sides get worse. It's a possibility that the sides are permanent even if it's just a month or 2 of use, or less.
Sides are very real. Many people on this forum have experienced it. Not everyone will get sides and yours may go away if you're lucky. Personally, I wouldn't suggest risking having sexual sides and possibly mental side effects for anything.
I know hair is important af, but imagine getting permanent sides + Finasteride doesn't help your hair but actually makes it worse. Then you're super fucked.

How is PFS a real thing if your DHT levels go back to normal after stopping the drug? If it permanently lowers your DHT then hooray you may have PFS but at least you will keep your hair.
It's not about your DHT levels going back to normal. Its once your sexual functions are affected/disrupted once or more than once over a prolonged period for some people, it can become irreversible.

I used finasteride for a year. For 5 months I was using 0.25 and had no sides. I increased to 0.50 and within a week started a massive shed that did not stop. This is also when I first experienced sexual sides. At first my libido went crazy high. In fact it was so much of a nuisance I reduced back to 0.25. Eventually my libido lowered but I wasn’t really interested in sex anymore, it was strange. I also had no morning wood, couldn’t masturbate, went soft on woman. It was a nightmare. That went on for 6 months plus the shed so I quit. Wonderful drug.
It took a over year to fully recover, but I did.
