Not taking or doing anything other than dermarolling with Nizoral twice a week.

Click the reddit link in my post to see a guy who was doing similar and got great results.
Wow, interesting. I was thinking about getting on finasteride, but I've already had pretty bad issues with brain fog in the past and I'm definitely worried about it getting really bad. I literally got into a car accident because I felt like I couldn't focus on a single thing.

So I have a question for those who got regrowth. How long did it take for your most stubborn areas to recover?
Yep. My hair regrow followed same pattern. "Stubborn areas" recoverd after 6-9 month into treatment.

this is crazy how well some people can respond to propecia ! you were a good responder in the first year of treatment I presume
still on minoxidil foam ?
No, not as much as before.

I think it was @Pogbaku that posted this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/tressless/comments/7uiwhh/progress_3_months_of_nizoral_and_infrequent/

This guy had good results (unless the pics are misleading, because in the before pics, it looks as if the hair is wet and messy and the afters its dry and parted.. but still I think there's some improvement). He talks about most dermarollers being scams as in they aren't composed of individual nails (click on the videos he posted).

The MT Roll that @Somebody uses it's also composed of circular pieces rather than individual nails. Is it worth it getting the one with the individual nails? They talk about how these cheap dermarollers that don't have individual nails cut rather than pierce.

Wow so dermarollers are not nails but metal wheels. Is it worth investing on the one that woman is selling or its just irrelevant that they arent individual wheels? i dont want to cut my skin with cheap chink crap.

Hi Alex,

First of all, thanks very much for posting your story and for your you-tube channel. It's been very encouraging and helpful. Just a question: how long before you started to see small growth on the hairline? Also, did you see a lot of vellus hairs first and then they developed or how did it go? Thanks.

Can we get an updated regiment
I think Alex is more or less following the same regimen described at the beginning of this thread. In other words:
"Propecia + Revita 2013+ Rogaine x1 (liquid untill dec 2015)+ dermaroller".

The only difference is he's using Foligain shampoo as he can't get Revita and rogaine foam instead of liquid. In addition there are supplements and extras. You can find this on his youtube channel.

Question of today: keep my hair long or cut it short?

About 3-4 months. There where vellus hair and between them small and very thin black hair, when you get them you know for sure that you are on right track!

No, not me. But you need to know what you are doing and how things relate to each other.

Question of today: keep my hair long or cut it short?

Short for sure, looks great.

Thanks Alex. I think I'm getting some of those small vellus hairs you're talking about. Some are still blonde and light but getting longer. I think some are getting a little darker. There's definitely something happening. Near the front at a certain angle I can see a lot of vellus of various lengths. Just praying they will develop.

PS.
Short is better imo.

Congratulations on your regrowth.

My regrowth pattern looks weird as f***. LOL

I'm getting rapid regrowth on the extreme ends of the hairline and developing this widow peak thing in the middle but between the left extremity and widow peak and right extremity and widow peak are the regrowth has been almost one hair at a time, if that is even possible so when I tried to style my hair recently the hairline region looked weird as f***.

My regrowth also started similarly and I never thought regrowth pace would pick up so look keep going it's about to get even better.
Thanks. Mine is quite slow but as I said definitely something happening which I'm delighted about. Just have to give it some time now I suppose. Hopefully will see some growth in the next few months.

When my hair is dry I have noticed it's getting better. Seems thicker overall. Still a lot of scalp to be seen through the top though. So got to keep going. I've been derma-rolling every night before minoxidil since 20th June . Have been using liquid min since April.

I got some bad news today.

I had my hair analyzed again and the doctor said I was getting good results and one thing led to another and I found out that I have naturally very fine, silky soft hair. This is bad for a diffuse thinner because as soon as it gets even a little greasy, they become lumpy and see through.

Now I'm going to have to find out how to style very fine silky hair and what product to use that can help with that.

I genuinely didn't know I had such type of hair because my hairloss started at 16 so I thought that thin hair was because of male pattern baldness. I was talking about how I can't wait for my shed or for my current hair to become thicker and denser and he stopped me right there and told me to turn around to analyze my "back of the scalp" region or "donor area" and he said that I have very fine hair. Atleast it's silky soft, if that matters. LOL

To avoid that greasy, soggy and lumped together mess use hair spray or salt spray. Keeps your hair light weight. It's not good for texture but definitely volume - Hair spray for styling and hold, salt spray is even lighter but is nice if you rock that messy look but doesn't want to look like someone who just woke up. Could be used together with a small amount of clay (for a matter but soft look) or cream (for that silky look). If used together with something else, salt spray is a pre-styler and the hair spray is more of a post-styler so you don't lose your style when going out.

my dermaroller just came, I used it and my scalp is like tingling. How hard should I be pressing on the tool it’s seems very awwkward when using the device.

Should I be applying minoxidil right after wards?
Yes. If you're derma-rolling for absorption. Just roll lightly enough so that the scalp is red but not bleeding. Then apply minoxidil and massage in.

Edit: Check out @Somebody 's youtube channel. He shows how.

@Somebody Hi Alex, a quick question: how were your temples and frontal areas when you were at your worst point? Was there pretty much nothing there or was it just very thin? Just wondering what to expect and if minoxidil will gain back that area where the hairline has receded. Thanks.
