Me,too. I have taken finasteride 1.25mg/day for about 9 months. But recently my hair loss is accelerating. I don't know why. I decided to take finasteride 1.25mg/day and dutasteride 0.5mg/week for about 6 months.

So since getting on dutasteride, your hairloss is speeding up?

Im sorta in the same position, started finasteride 1mg in january and my hair on the top has lost lots of ground in a diffused pattern, before it was just the crown that was the problem. Not sure whether to switch to dutasteride or not. I already have 30 sitting in the cupboard.

Any improvement since adding in spironolactone? Why did you add it? I thought dutasteride was working for you?
Dutasteride is working, but I'm afraid of the chance that my hair loss can become agressive, just like my father.

Oral spironolactone so far greatly reduced hair loss and it lessened the so called "male pattern baldness itch", which never interfered with my hair loss.

Well i popped my first dutasteride this morning, just going to take 0.5mg everyday alongside 1mg of finasteride for 30 days then switch to just dutasteride. Heres hoping i don't get bad sides.

What's the current rate of hairloss? Last post you said there was a decrease in the rate it was falling out.

You dropped finasteride? When and why?

Is there any chance you could let me see pics of the current state of your hair? If you feel uncomfortable posting here, I could give you my email. I won't judge, I promise.

Yeah, shedding has decreased a lot, before it was like 60-80 hairs every day, now around 20, maybe 30 max.

Maybe I'm just a late responder. It was certainly that way with Propecia as long as I remember.

I did not drop finasteride. Still taking it.

I will post pics after I get a haircut in a couple of weeks ( max ) to see my (lack of) progress. I've already posted pics of my hairline somewhere but I need to find it.

the shed is a good sign. Although it's hard to watch! What's your thoughts on continued use of topical minoxidil with derma rolling while using oral minoxidil..

As long as you get no sides i see no reason why not, there was a study that showed when minoxidil was applied to the whole of the scalp between 2.5 and 5mg went systematic though. Im personally just going to use oral and wounding with dermaroller every couple of weeks.

Ok, I'll give it a try, why not. I'm more nervous about making to jump on dust than anything. I'm presuming since I reacted fairly well with finasteride the same "should" apply with dust.. or it's gonna f**k me. I've read a lot of guys saying the hairline gets attacked from dust I'm no doctor but I can't see why specifically your hairline gets pumped.

I had libido problems even on finasteride, but nothing i can't handle. As long as my libido stay roughly the same even on dutasteride i'll be happy. It's not perfect, but it's a price im willing to pay for my hair.
