Hi there!
I am a 22y/o male suffering from hairloss. I'd say right now I am approaching a norwood 3 with the horseshoe pattern at my hairline.
I am also currently dealing with PIED (p**rn induced erectile dysfunction) and my question is regarding if I should begin taking finasteride while still dealing with this problem.
Honestly I am not scared of getting side effects from finasteride. The data shows it works and side effects are extremely rare. The thing that bothers me is that IF I do get side effects while taking it during my recovery process from pornography that I will not be able to recognize if I do indeed get side effects from the Finasteride.
The other option is to wait until I completely recover from PIED but that could take awhile... (3-6 months maybe?) and I am concerned about how much more hair I will lose in the time being.
I would like to start finasteride ASAP but I want to be in a position where I can properly identify if I have side effects. I'm really torn on what to decide here.
Has anyone else been in the same/similar position as me? Has anyone dealt with and recovered from PIED?
