I'd try oral minoxidil and a topical AA like RU, CB, fluridil, etc if you want a shot at regrowth in the temple area. Your front looks fine though so that's good.

It doesn't seem to me your balding is speeding up, it looks about the same. Finasteride stopped further hair loss
Do you take steroids or things like creatine? Those can increase DHT and will hinder the effects of finasteride a bit...I had first hand experience with creatine and once I stopped I got better results
Im currently on no supplements other than a multivitamin, I really f*****g hope im not losing ground

Hey im on ur boat, 20 as well. finasteride 1.25 mg with minimal sides but Im losing ground after 8 months. I just added min like 2-3 weeks ago but im riding out a huge shed and will see how good itll hold up in a ~3 months. Keep me posted on RU, people seem to have mixed results so I havent hopped on yet. Keep an eye on the chest pains though.
Good luck brother!

Fuarkkkk should i hop on min? The shed scares the sh*t out of me. What if some follicles are dead but the min causes them shits to lose the resting hair and i come back balder, fuckkk that

I do get chest pains periodically, but f*** it man. Losing my hair would LITERALLY cause me to do worse things than die of cardiac disease. Im young, jacked, and look fire with my hair. Losing that would fuckkkk me up.

I try to keep my routine minimal so I know what is working and what is not. However, I think Min will always be at the core of hairloss treatment (plus its easy to get) so I think there is no loss on getting on. Id suggest you wait and see how RU works out first though so you know whats working and whats not.
I get it, every shower leaves me pretty depressed. I doubt min will make things worse long term.
Here's my timeline.
Hoping treatment will pull through for another year or two (Im just looking for maintenance at this point in time really). Then I can wear a fringe for 2 or 3 more years. Maybe buzz/ slick bald for a year or two then get a hair transplant at 25. Top up transplants at 30. I dont expect to have hair at 40+. Ive kinda embraced the bald look to be a pretty badass and clean. This way I don't mind going bald in the future (If ive exhuasted all options). Going for transplants young is to keep me in the dating pool, but once I get older, good hair is probably not something people care about as much.
This interview from the baldcafe with Mike Delaney, a true sick c***, helped me come to terms with letting go if the time comes.
There is more to exuding a sense of status and class than with hair. Think hitman, that baldy in a suit is fuckking class cause of his mannerisms. For whats it worth, I really honestly think you have the head and face to pull off a good bald if you ever want to (plus shredded).
BY THAT TIME if NO better treatment and transplant techniques have yet to be discovered (I find it very likely we will have better treatment in the next decade), then it'd be time to come home.
I say worry less about being bald because if youre gonna go bald you need to spend that time preparing for baldness. Becoming accomplished, better style, network, class, and bald. I expect obstacles in life that will mog balding especially if you have accomplished enough to lose more than hair (I hope I will be).
Some part of me feels like I will never be at 100% potential without hair, but I have yet to fully embrace the process. Ill know it when Im on the forums less and less. Life would be too easy without all the bullshit.

Oral minoxidil is the most powerful/efficacious thing there is IMO. As far as dosage, it is going to vary individually. I think that 2.5mg is worth it and the risk of sides are pretty low.

At this stage I would not recommend it at all, I would even be apprehensive later down the road. OP needs to relax you are treating it as best you can for now, do not stress wait another 6 months if you see any changes add topical minoxidil but bare in mind its a pain in the *** commitment and you must continue for life. You could unsettle your hair more cause irritation and worsen your situation, you look good for now so chill and do not be hasty, hair looks great have faith in finasteride and again do not stress.

I'd go all in with 1mg finasteride daily and add 5% Minoxidil 3/day. This regimen has worked absolute wonders for me at age 44. Been doing this routine for years.

Very well said.
I feel like I’m speaking to a forum vet, this reply eased me nerves a lot, and gave me a push towards the introspection needed to accept being bald.
You’re 110% right, the forums are a leak in my tank of energy and sanity. Hopefully better treatments do come, but this post helped me see that if they don’t, its not the end of the world. Much love brother, thank you for your time :,)
I’m going to wait a little bit before the min like you said, however microneedling + oral castor oil might be something i look into in the very near future.

Right.
Trusting the fina will definitely improve my quality of life. I’ve been stressing hard over this (bit of a narcissist, and losing my hair feels like the ABSOLUTE end) but if i spend my good hair days stressing, what are they good for?
