I'm sorry you experience sides on finasteride. Just want to say I've taken finasteride for years, I have no sides, no issues whatsoever and that's the case for the overwhelming majority of users, they simply don't feel the need to followup on hairloss forums since they move on with their life.
As for applying minoxidil topically, you put it on once a day right before bed. How is that complicated? You wash it off in the morning and move on, it's not difficult at all, granted oral minoxidil is more convenient anyways

The thousands of young balding men deciding whether or not to use finasteride browsing these forums to look for anecdotal experiences with hair loss drugs to make their decision did though. You encouraged someone to continue using a drug that gives them side effects with no alternative solution despite them explicitly stating they don't want sides, that's not the advice he was looking for either. The answer to his question is if you can't tolerate 5AR inhibitors at all then that's pretty much it for your hair as of 2025, it's an abnormal experience to have sides with finasteride according to every statistic ever. That's an unfortunate answer for him as well but I doubt he expected to hear anything else

This is why I needed to interject your anecdotal experience with finasteride with mine so you don't promote misinformation. Your hostility to users having positive experiences with finasteride is you exposing your frustration of being one of the few people who actually experience sides on such a safe drug. If you're gonna try to sell a narrative then don't have a meltdown when someone else shares their experience, it's incredibly immature
