Success on minoxidil. now adding finasteride.

Was going to wait to post, probably will be every month no need for biweekly. But I have noticed some results keep in mind I probably been on this regimen for about almost a month and 2 months of finasteride total before I made my post.

Thought I would share, I see a little something happening in the temples but the crown is looking decent already let me know what you guys think.

Thanks I use the derminator 2 with (12 pin) and also have the A6 portable derma pen for travel reasons. I was checking out my temple and crown regrowth today randomly. I believe I am responding well again to this regimen time will tell.

1 Viviscal for men’s supplement pill.
1-2 doses (1ml each) of 5% minoxidil per day morning and night, if I can’t get 2 I don’t stress it. I mostly make sure to get my after shower dose in because I believe the minoxidil is a lot more effective when your scalp is clean and the pores have opened.
And also doing weekly micro needling sessions at 1 to 1.5 mm depending on how it feels pain wise.

Here to update again progress is looking good to me. Had some massive flaking happening but not sure if it was the minoxidil or from getting some sun on this bald head and it was peeling. Either way happy with how it’s going so far no complaints.

As always head is shaved down to a #1 in update pictures

Thanks for the positive feedback!, I’m definitely looking to keep this going and update as much as possible. I always felt a lot of these derma rolling post were gimmicky as in someone was always selling a roller or something. So hopefully this can be a good inspiration and self study for myself and others.

How far do you think I will recover with this current regimen in the next 5 months?. Using the Norwood scale and purely out of curiosity as I know this hair loss thing does what it wants. What do you think?

Well I’m happy that we both found some truth in it derma rolling definitely works. My routine is I normally Only use a 12 pin needle 3 to 4 times and I pay close attention to the pins to make sure they’re not bent. I always keep a bottle of 70% alcohol next to the sink where I dermaroll.

I then take the 12 pin needle and fill it up completely with alcohol doesn’t take much, then rinse with hot water before using. Always better to be safe than risk infection do this everytime even when they are fresh out the sealed packet.

Another good tip I can give you is when I dermaroll I use Nizoral shampoo on that day and let my scalp get a good soak in a medium heat shower. This for one cleanses all the gunk from your scalp and seems to make your scalp a lot easier to dermaroll on in terms of being soft and relaxed.

As far as the machine itself I just give it a good wipe down with a alcohol wipe and that’s all. Hopefully this helps if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask! Thanks for following.

I felt like it would be a good time to show some grown out contrast instead of shaved down to a #1 but I will also add those photos in later.

Yep. That works and soon the hope is that shaving your head is an option that you choose without feeling compelled.

Didn’t forget about those who are following little late on this post. However here is the results, something very nice is happening here with the hairline.

Temple growth is starting to grow hair like crazy, this gives a much better look to the hairline in my opinion.

I recently shaved down to slick bald and I actually really enjoy that hair style too. So I don’t have anything to lose here I’m just going to continue my regimen and see where this experiment takes me.

I recently added 10,000 mcg biotin to my regimen and to be fair I’m still not micro needling as much as I should but I’m getting them in here and there.

I took a break for a little while just wasn’t very consistent with the regimen. Wasn’t fair to continue to post updates if I wasn’t all in.

The reason of course was life as always got in the way but since then I made a dedication to remain on my current regimen and even added a homemade finasteride topical.

I’ve been quietly steady at my regimen so here’s a small update isn’t perfect photo alignment but you get the gist. The power of micro needling with minoxidil and finasteride when dedicated is awesome.
