where the heck do you buy this stuff on alldaychemist? typed in Sulfasalazine didn't show up. how much did 3 months supply cost you?

I'm thinking about buying some Sulfasalazine powder http://www.drugsdepot.com/viewitem.php/ ... EDISCA_INC

Putting it in a transdermal vehicle so it would help inflamation in scalp and hair like tricomin.

Should be interesting

Edit: heard it takes a year to start seeing results, dayum but for hairline regrowth I'd do it thats just alot of stuff to do for something iffy. I have to make this into a topical though to get the most out of it.

Role of sulfasalazine in the treatment of alopecia areata

Background: Alopecia areata (AA) is a common autoimmune disease mediated by T lymphocytes. AA is characterized by the rapid onset of non-scarring hair loss causing a burden for many patients. Spontaneous remission occurs frequently. Treatment is difficult in refractory cases. Because of disappointing results of other treatment options we treated 5 patients with refractory alopecia areata totalis and universalis using Sulfasalazine for 6 months.

Objective: Sulfasalazine has been safely used in the long-term treatment of various inflammatory and autoimmune disorders. Based on various articles in the literature we applied sulfasalazine for six months in order to induce remission of refractory AA.

Material and Methods: Five patients received sulfasalazine at an increasing dosage starting with 500mg per day for a period of six months. All patients showed long-time AA totalis and have been treated with a variety of therapies (topical and systemic corticosteroid, minoxidil, Diphenylcyclopropenon, photochemotherapy) and none of them yielded constant improvement..

Results: Three patients with AA totalis and completed the treatment. Two patients dropped out because of side effects. During treatment and after a follow up period of four months no patient showed signs of hair regrowth.
Conclusion: In our small study Sulfasalazine did not demonstrate any clinical improvement of AA, questioning its role as therapeutic alternative in the treatment of AA. Totalis or universalis

Good find! What is the molecular size of this? Would it be a good topical? Can you buy it from there without a prescription or what?

idk what that last post means, I cant open pdf files

anyways and yes that the carrier I was talking about, it transdermal some would get induced systematically and possibly lower inflammation in the scalp that some stays on.

I wonder if it would have like a tricomin effect since I think tricomin works by reducing inflammation. Or maybe it would have a even better effect with a copper peptide.

Well sounds interesting but not gonna get my hopes up

After almost 3 years on the big 3 and no real improvement in my frontal hair line it sounds interesting but I have my doubts !

Its such a shame that Rogain has given me 1000s of dead/inactive white invisible tiny hairs at the frontal head of my hair line and theres no way to make them real active coloured hairs :(

Seems its running outta stock.....

squeege you should start a new post as a log like they do on bodybuilding.com

would be decent

For everyone saying male pattern baldness... DHT alone is not the cause its the inflamination i guarentee this. DHT casues the inflamination, the problem is taking this orally is giong to cause reduced inflamination else where,,, a topicall solution would be best, could just mix it with aloe vera and alcohol

BUMP. Following this one closely. Does anyone know where to get Sulfasalazine without a prescription? The only guys I trust are inhouse and united, but neither of them carry it. I've been researching this for a few weeks now...

Alldaychemist.com is as good as inhouse... look up under sulpha..the misspelled it..

Squee

Also.. for the people inquiring my results from taking it I had to stop taking it because of my deployment in Afghanistan ,this medicine can make you more sensitive to the sun..Middle-East average temperature in the Summer is just retarded.. I am back on it right now taking 6 grams a day before going to bed.. I also take it with megafolinic or 5 Mhtf with it.. It is folic acid but way more potent..Sulfasalazine deplete folic acid..
