It's a wonderful idea but you know that in the US a good lawyer would ask YOU for bald damages?

Over the last 6 months, some motherfucker has been stealing my packages, so i'm concocting a plan for payback. It didn't bother me when they stole a few packages that cost $10 - $20, but today they crossed the line and stole something that was worth $1,000. I'm a patient man, but i've reached my limit.

The plan is this:
  1. Prepare a small amazon box
  2. Inside the amazon box, place toiletries that have been tampered with - namely:
    1. Nair Hair Removal cream inside normal hair conditioner bottle
    2. Body wash with green surgical dye (same they use in bank money dye packs) added to it
  3. Place box outside and wait for thief to steal it
This little f****r is going to steal that box, and eventually they will use the shampoo and/or body wash (ideally both). When they do, they're going to look bald and green for many days.

I always thought i wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, but that's not the case. I'm going to teach this piece of sh*t a lesson they'll never forget.
This could be genius. Though really.. would a young (assuming) thief bother using your "shampoo," let along body wash?

He/she would most likely try and sell those products or just throw them away in disappointment.

I wonder how they could snag a guy on addressing a package to himself that's gonna f*** up his sh*t.

Just claim some fetish for being permanently like this:

Body wash maybe, hair product definitely not.

Fullhead logic:

"So I stole my bald neighbours amazon package and it turned out to be shampoo- as if I'm using a bald guys shampoo! sh*t made him bald!"

How are they stealing them? Don't they knock on your door for you to sign or they just drop them at your door and move on?

That's odd, with tracking you have to sign, specially with something that costs $1000, in that case you can fill for a refund, unless your packages don't have insurance.

I know you all think i'm being a bit extreme on this, but f*** it - i am doing this, and no it is not satire.

I actually don't think anyone said it's extreme, David maybe implied it but that guys so vanilla.

Even if I thought it was extreme I'd still encourage it for internet lulz

Don't put the green body paint in the package cos if he uses the body paint first he won't even bother with the shampoo and he won't become bald.

Just place the Nair as shampoo, and a few little treats no body paint just Nair..

I looking at a few options for GPS to do this - trying to keep it low cost so I don't lose more money than I have to but if I find a cheap one I might be able to do this.

This should do the trick, just ask a relative to help you out in sending you a test package that seems of value.

https://trackr.giddyup.deals/index-02/

When you see that the package is near your house you can see it go away. Or get a cheap GPS live tracker but it's much more expensive and bigger.

no the seller (from ebay) never insured the package nor did he require signature confirmation - fucked up thing is i'm probably not going to see a penny for this and i'm without recourse. I'm pissed and whoever stole it is going to pay; that much i can assure you.

File an ebay claim. AFAIK, if there is no proof of delivery, the seller has to refund. It's standard.

Won't work unfortunately because Ebay is not responsible if the package shows as being "delivered", which it does - the seller is also not responsible and the morons only put the basic $50 insurance on it so they are as much to blame on this in my mind. There is a very small chance i'll recoup any money and i'm already an additional $100 deep in further investment to catch this thief. It's a good investment in my book though - i can live without the money, but i can't live without knowing who is doing this.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/seller-protection.html

"
If a buyer reports that an item hasn't been received
If you ship an item within your stated handling time and provide tracking information to the buyer before you or the buyer asks us to step in and help with a request, you're protected.
Tracking information needs to include:
A delivery status of "delivered"
The date of delivery
The recipient's address
Signature confirmation, if an item has a total cost of $750 or more"

Seems like you're covered by ebay
