That's crazy. I also got a few more hairs on my forehead and cheekbones starting oral minoxidil but not like this. Leg and arm hair grows longer though that's starting to piss me off, and for my back and shoulders I'm seeing a few darker ones pop up amongst all the peach fuzz lol

how long you been on oral minoxidil? I’m seeing little back hairs coming up at hairline but need to look real close! Nose hair is pissing me off now lol

Not at all. I'm not doing anything against DHT so I've just been losing hair the entire time, but the hair I have left has regrown a bit wirier and darker so I think it helps cosmetically compared to where I would otherwise be. I hate the change in texture though, I used to have really nice soft and fine hair.

Before oral min.Rolling add topical must be used.
Microneedling improves minoxidil response in androgenetic alopecia patients by upregulating follicular sulfotransferase enzymes.

So use MIcroneedling even if min is oral? Am I understanding this correctly?

and do you all think 2.5 MG of oral min (with no other drugs) will maintain hair for as long as finasteride? If not, for how long will it? Thanks

Oral min will not maintain your hair. Its a growth promoter but DHT will still bind and miniaturize your hair. You need finasteride or duta to maintain and you need microneedling&OM to promote growth.

DANG. I don’t want to negatively affect beard development I’m only 23 and new hairs are poking out of beard. If I take finasteride my sh*t will stop.

Will it come in just the same or short of what it naturally would’ve? And how long for it to come in? Also, what is the procedure for microneedling the beard and what is the recommended dosage of oral min? Been reading many different preferences on that. Curious if I should split between morning in night too.

No idea how much or how long or how fast it will come in. Nobody knows.

As for optimial micro needling technique, you can find online sources on that, Im not sure either.

As for OM dosage, many on this forum will tell u atleast 5mg. I would say 2.5mg.

i dont understand why do you take spironolactone thats some strong stuff for men? do you have serious side effects from it?

I dropped the dosage back then to try and get rid of the swelling in my face and it negatively impacted my hair. I’ve been of minoxidil for some time now and holy hell am I shedding. I dropped below baseline by a bit I guess due to it strengthening the corners of my hairline when it was working. Those hairs have shed leaving me with like diffuse patches. Hopefully it goes back to baseline
