I use foam and my hair looks like sh*t. It's been 3 f*****g years and I still don't get why the recommended dose is 1 cup of foam (so I guess 1 full pump, I mean pressing on the button all the way down until foam stops coming out).
I have to use up to 5 pumps, in order to cover the scalp, otherwise its f*****g impossible, half of it doesn't expand, it sits on top of other hair and the scalp remains dry. I apply smaller pumps not pressing all the way down, across my hairline to guarantee it gets exposed to the product. I end up f*****g a fuckton probably, don't even know since it's foam so how the f*** do you even measure it. Who cares anyway, covering the scalp properly it's all that matters.
I tried liquid too, minoxidil with a couple finasteride pills on it, I prepare 10ml with 10mg of finasteride on the minoxidil so I don't use foam only to vary things a bit. Anyway, I need more than 2 ml per application, and recommended minoxidil dosage is 1ml, so I use around 5ml of minoxidil per day. Also applying liquids on the crown is hell since I don't know what im doing. With the foam I can use a glass with the other hand and apply directly on the crown looking what im doing throw the glass and it will not fall down throught my head since I have it inclined.
Not to mention, how hair looks like sh*t on topicals.
All of this, and I have less hair than 3 year ago so I can't say it's working, and the male pattern baldness never goes away even tho the topicals refresh it a bit.
And the only oral treatment we got is tranny drug that will destroy 70% of the most potent male hormone, and there will probably never be a proper oral treatment without nasty sides that works.
Male pattern baldness is a brutal disease indeed.
