Aussie - you still live with mom and dad??!!

Geez, my parents kicked me out of the house at 17.

I know, I know, you are shocked that my parents would ever kick out anyone as nice as Old Baldy! :)

hah...I have no idea if he is...I was just tossing that out there joking around.

There is no greater feeling of freedom and adult hood than being on your own.

Nope...IMO that's a part of growing up. You need to screw up and fix it again.

Who here hasn't had to live on Roman Noodles & sandwiches for a few months to pay the bills? :punk:

I still live at home as well.

Personally it just makes sense. To live on my own, and have the "cache" of such would cost money. So It would take at least twice as long to save up for college.

However At home, I throw my parents 50 here and there for food or whatever and don't feel like too much of a bum. Yet I'm able to basically save all of my income.

I'll probably be here till I'm like 21 or something.

Also, an hair transplant, is pricy.

Been there bro.... Although my idea of cheap food is different, I'm not big fan of cheap processed food.

I'd rather go to my local store, pick up a few cheap ingredients and cook a hearty meal. It works out cheaper than the processed food, and it feels nice.

I still do it. I buy a few cheap cuts of meat, a bit of veg, toss it all in a pan and eat it for the next few days.

Soups, cakes, stews, etc work out really cheap, and they are healthy. Sometimes I feel like I'm doing a degree in home economics. With freedom comes responsibility, we learn how to take care of ourselves and our finances.

I still live at home and i am 27. Where i live the average flat is £800 per month and I earn £1200 per month and when you take into acoount electricity, water and gas bills, council tax, travel expenses and food it doesn't leave me with much money. I suppose I could always become a gold digger and get in with some successful business woman :hump:

Ah that was a long time ago for me...I really wasn't so health conscious then.

Why don't you move somewhere cheaper?

People who grow up on the beach, and then don't want to move out because their parent's are letting them stay...
Move inland or to some other place that is lower price. I was raised in california. It is expensive there. Do you see me struggling to survive in california, living with parents? Hell no. I moved to another state and started my life out here.

I didn't move out until 20, and that was when I moved across the state to go to a different school.

Sadly mom and dad pay for my apartment, but I don't feel too guilty because my college is free so I've saved them over 30k in expenses.
