THE WORST Rogaine commercial in the history of commercials.

No it doesnt show the pain of baldness. Quite the opposite, it litterally gives people permission to regard bald men as inferior subhumans. Its nothing more than a bald man bending over saying kick me....just like every other ad of this type. The message in this ad is use rogaine so you dont wind up being a bald wingman. It doesnt address the injustice, it perpetuates it and the fact that you cant even see that is most disheartening!

It just states the truth, baldness makes you less attractive in the eyes of women and you will be viewed bad by society. They want to sell you a hair loss medication, how can you be mad at them. They know it hurts, we know it hurts, it's society that does 't give a **** and this ad shows it.

But his features are not masculine. Look at his weak eyebrows (mine are even weaker unfortunately).
Also the dude sitting in the beginning with the grown out horseshoe. Another non-masculine face.

They deliberately chose men who looked like that. Beta looking bald wing men for the ad. A masculine looking bald guy would have still ruined the "motto of the ad."

Different story with fullish hair, can look "pretty boy" if good looking. Even the guy with hair who goes from 6 to 8 in the ad is hardly masculine.

I have beeen ranked negative by few people just because i looked old for age..

This ad is clearly for few who have 100% living like this...

Saying a man beta means you are judging his height,his physical built,his facial attributes,his attitudes.

You say people mocks bald,makes fun of baldness,but still does the same thing in other things..
Judging the people in there weakness like not all people are heighted,not all people are good looking,not all people have awesome personalities...

The uncomfortable fact is we are all being judged subconsciously if not overtly. Whether it's our hair, looks, career performance e.t.c. Of course this doesn't mean you discriminate against someone who has it worse than you in a particular area but you get the point. It's a reality of life, people can't walk with closed eyes or an absent mind.

You also judge a girl on her looks subconsciously. You judge someone's kindness or political views e.t.c.

I agree though with your well meaning post about everyone being equal.

It's a funny ad, I bet I would not find it funny if I was bald though... that would hurt.... i'd be like having a "fixed" disability... then watching an ad that denigrates you..........worst of all you can't change who you are..I guess they only want to market to those who have savable hairlines... they don't care about hurting bald men because they won't be buying rogaine... after all who cares about bald men? Posts like these only increase the anxiety on my part.... I can't imagine being like that....bald....I'm on the quiet side... I don't like to stand out... you can see in the video the bald actor just stands out... it doesn't look right... not being completely bald anyway. Like someone mentioned the Slybald guys always wear long beards and sunglasses... for a reason... you need a frame for your face... something... anything, unless you're really lucky like Statham and thick scruff and a heavy wide jaw, then you can get away with it.

I would do this ad if I was paid enough money.... besides from his point why does he care? He's already bald so he doesn't have much to lose... all he can be now is the "clown" or the funny guy, or the nice guy dweeb, no other persona works. He hasn't got the features to pull bald off.

This ad, made by the commercial maker is like midget tossing! it's fun for a person to watch that is of normal height, but imagine if you were the midget!
This is how us bald/balding guys feel sometimes about our hairloss, helpless! The midget can't grow any taller and the person with hairloss can't magically grow his or her hair back.

Let everyone know minoxidil only works in about 5% of people and you can buy walmarts brand for 1/4 the price. Hopefully that will dig into some profits for them.

I actually think its pretty clever- it sparks a lot of controversy and thats exactly the purpose of this ad. I interpreted it as a sort of a social criticism. The biggest irony- its the perfect reflection of this forums perception of a bald(ing) man in society..

That ad is horrible, for real or a joke? But it's true, being pretty shaved screws you up. Playing on real insecurities there.

Just the other day I read on slybaldguys where one member goes that I have never met anyone who shaves and wants their full hair back. Not only that, another one goes it made him look younger and no more hair worries. But why do they all sport huge beards and sun glasses then? He goes I am bald by choice lol.

What you mean why do they wear glasses and grow beards? cant bald people do this now?, i have a beard cause i like having one, when i was 16 i was going bald and my beard was a patchy mess. I still grew it thinking it looked ok but looking back...bad idea. As time went on i got balder my beard got better. Way **** is.
