I've seen this in Manchester, UK. They have their special day, I think it's the day Ali (not my real name) was killed, I'm not sure if I'm right.

Anyway, on that particular day, the Shia's gather and do their ceremony in the Curry Mile in Manchester. I'm not sure if they still do it, but when I was there in the 90s, I did see it.
