Think I would be a good responder to dutasteride?

I ordered some dutasteride from inhouse but haven't taken it yet. If you can, please check out my pics. I'd like to hear from someone that has a similar diffuse loss pattern and who has taken dutasteride.

My info - been on Propecia for around nine years and minoxidil for about 13 years. I was always losing my hair slowly, but recently in the last eight months it's gotten a lot worse. I've also had some major dietary changes which could have made my situation worse over the last couple months, but I think there is more going on there then just diet.

My hair length varies a bit in these pics. I don't think there is too much difference between May and Sept considering my hair length, but if you see a picture from a year earlier I promise there is a significant difference

Thanks!

i think that's quite bad. i would certainly be on dutasteride but to be honest, im not sure itll do miracles for u since youve been on finasteride and minoxidil for so many years. In other words, if finasteride and minoxidil let u get like that, dutasteride might not do much else. But i would certainly give it a year on dutasteride to see what happens. See the scalp exercises below too.

Thanks - I think dutasteride is my last hope. Just would like to see if anyone with similar loss or loss pattern has responded well to it. I remember seeing one guys profile who had pretty much no hair, but after dutasteride there was an amazing improvment.

Hey Bopper,

I really think that dutasteride could help you regrow some hair on the crown... I think you should get some more coverage, at the least. You may even regrow more.

Definitely consult with your doctor, to let him know you're thinking about it, and hear what he has to say. Just make sure you're healthy to do it.

Keep up with the minoxidil, or maybe even go for a higher grade of minoxidil.

All of the younger guys that have hair like mine shouldn't get too depressed. I could notice my hair starting to thin in high school. And finas and minoxidil slowed it down tremendously - I would guess my hair would have looked like it does now four or five years ago without the drugs. I'm 30 now, and I wish a had some pics from a couple years ago to show you how much better it was.

It's only in the last 8 months to a year tha it has gotten much worse. I don't know if I became immune to the propecia or that the rate of loss just increased so much that propecia couldn't stop it all. It also could have gotten worse from dietary changes as I became a vegetarian.

Anyway, thanks for the advice so far. I'll probably start dutasteride soon.
