Howdy.

Did recently receive my shipment of finasteride from an online source.
I did order Cipla but got Genpharma, according to the pharmacy it's what they do
when they run out of Cipla.

The pharmacy is probably big online, but not among hair loss sufferers.
They send out from Hong Kong, Kowloon. Have 24/7 support chat in India.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Yummie yummie, fakei fakei or impossible to tell?

They are probably real, but how is anyone going to be able to tell you by looking at a picture? Most users of generics here use fincar/finpecia by Cipla.

I ordered "Finpecia" but got "Finasteride" by Genpharma.

I don't think fakes vs real comes in identical boxes..that why
I posted this picture. If any user here have Genpharma orginal
100% sure, I would appreciate a comparison.

hmm never heard of genpharma or pills actually named finasterid... as they do include...
Did se a news clip in england about a fraud, produced fakes in hong kong and india though.
So i would be aware, get it tested by a kemist maibe ..
Or if someone know of this brand.. compare.
Could we get a picture of the actual pill ?

I talked to the company..sent them an photo..and they "confirm" it legit.

Still..any scam company would do that.

But then again, my online pharmacy claims Genpharma being big and serious...which I
have partly got verified.

Genpharma seems like a real Indian pharma company - http://www.genpharma.net/index.php

There's no way to tell if these particular pills are genuine or not. Packaging is very easy to forge, and counterfeit meds are manufactured on an industrial scale in China and India. You have a 50% chance of getting a fake if you buy off the net, according to the WHO.

Actually that's not true. The WHO said you have a 50% chance of getting fake drugs from websites which conceal their mailing address.

Hmm..I see, I do have some kind of "foreign address" on the received shipment written on it..

The company I've ordered from, "exposed" by request, is 4rx dot com.

They have a website which smells "$50 template" - still it looks better then most online pharmacies. I did a check on the domain name and it's been around for some years.
They always have several online support slaves in their 24/7 chat.

They seem legit and honest, but I'm still doubting.

I would not have been worried if pills would have been either finasteride or nothing, but an article I ran across somewhere informed me about net pharmacies which sold fakes but also included other prescription substances - and that could be a real health issue!

But again, 4 r x dot c o m seems to be good, I've done research (website, domain, google) and I cannot find anything "scamish" about them..
What's making me a bit confused is why no one on this forum know anything about them..and why they sent me the wrong brand..(but the same substance).

Sorry for the little off-topic question(I have no idea about the on-topic): are you going for finasteride because applopoly is a failure?

Beethoven,

are you encouraging me to go off-topic? :nono: Moderator!!! :woot:

About your question, No. I think I did mention earlier that my applepoly experience will be evaluated in a separate thread later on, when I have ended my tryout period, which I have extended with 2 months btw :)

The reason for the finasteride purchase is mainly cos I believe my hair loss, in the future, will accelerate and I will need something that halt the overall hair loss, as you might be aware of, I'm only applying apple poly to my temples.

According to this forum and many others, finasteride is the nr#1 substance when fighting Androgenetic Alopecia, I think AP could be a good way to enhance such regimen even further by downregulation of TGF-b, PKC, protein kinase C etc..

In my case, I cannot afford only one way approach battling Androgenetic Alopecia.

Can we please return to the original question? ;)

Heh...hold on m8, I did mention the site from where I bought it, didn't I ? :innocent:

However, I know that if packages from them (and others) are stopped in customs, so
the buyer needs a bit of luck

I think most online pharmacies will try to deliver, those who don't probably have good reasons..
Customs are the biggest issue, however, some pharmacies do re-pay if order wasn't received.

Hey brother,

Got the same package around the same time you did. I spoke with 4rx about this and did some research on my own about Gen pharma. From the research I uncovered Im gonna say things are definitely on the up and up. Genpharma is approved by India's version of the FDA(i know its hard for us as americans to believe other countries have drug standards, lol) and it is a Nasdaq listed company. Also they provide a corporate website and company contact. 4rx stated they have always purchased from this company. Although there have been frauds in the past with other drug companies, in actually, I dont think a company would be profitable by making fake drugs in the long run. They are drug dealers and they make money on you coming back. If you are on propecia and it is working for you, there is a good chance you might come back till you die or at least until your 50's. I.E. lots and lots of money for this company as opposed to making a quick 100 bucks off you one or two times. You and I both know making propecia and other drugs cost pennies on the dollar. Pharm companies make tons of money due to the fact that the pill cost almost nothing to make. It is the research, development, and advertising cost that they need to recover when making the drug. The pill itself is very very low cost to make.

Eat up

Hi,

I recently ordered from Northwestpharmacy.com and when I originally called, they said I would recieve Finpecia from Cipla. Having done some research and users saying the Finpecia was good, I went ahead and ordered. Today, I got the Finasteride from Genpharma instead. What is with this Genpharma, plus I have different packaging, than what I have seen distributed online. I tasted it and got a very metallic taste. I don't know if its legit or not. I contacted the company, and they stated they ran out of stock on the Cipla and sent me this one. They stated they do now have it in stock and will send me the Finpecia. Did anyone receive this genpharma (white and orange box) has GMP certified on it. I have included a picture of the box.[attachment=0:2lieminn]finbox.jpg[/attachment:2lieminn]

I order from a site called Value Pharmaceuticals, and the pills I get come from an Indian manufacturer called Aurobindo. I did research and the manufacturer's site looks legit and I read about it making 5% finasteride on online articles. The website itself is headquartered in Canada and has gotten positive customer reviews from third-party websites, so it makes me feel better.

Hello,

Ok, so I had ordered from northwestpharmacy.com. I had asked them over the phone, what I would receive and they told me it was Finpecia from Cipla. I received the Genpharma finasteride instead. Sounds like a familiar story... Anyways, I wanted the finpecia from Cipla b/c everybody is saying that Cipla is the company to get the meds from. I called them up and argued that I did not get what I had ordered. I demanded they reship me the Finpecia from Cipla that they told me I would receive. They said ok, and gave me return instruction. I have been on Propecia before (should have never came off it) and the side effect I get, immediately happens on the 2nd day. Watery semen, when I c*m.. its really watery!! So, I figured let me try this Genpharma finasteride and see what happens. Sure enough.. Watery semen.. Now, I have to believe, this is the real deal b/c I don't think that they would make a medication to just give me this side effect. The genpharm I received comes in a Orange and white box. It has GMP certified on it. So, I guess im not going to return it. I just thought I would put the info out there b/c I searched alot to try and get some info.. even Genpharma did not return my email messages regarding the legitimacy of the meds. If anyone has any feedback or has any other experiences with this med.. please let me know. For now, im going to continue taking this med (even over the Finpecia)
